Okay place to stay
MARIAN W.

Just okay. Luckily I planned excursions on my own and wasn't stuck here the entire time otherwise I would have been bored! The pros were the restaurants and food, the cons were the bogus "resort credits" everything has a certain day and time and is hard to work with scheduling, the rooms are misleading "ocean front" vs "ocean view", be sure to get a room the 3rd floor or above otherwise you have a perfect view of people tanning and wedding receptions, we had to pay an upgrade fee to get a decent room with a balcony. Probably wouldn't stay again but it was okay for our first trip to Cozumel.

Power failure

We had no electricity from Thursday June 14 at 4:00pm to Friday June 15 at 10 pm. We lost a day of our vacation. Would like to get a free day next year or at least a percentage off our stay. 30 hours with no AC, TV or lights. The transformer blew. Had to ferry one over from Playa. No Other hotels or shops were effected.

Everything (food, drinks, service, facilities, view, ocean) was perfect except that we requested two double beds and received a king instead. One guest had to sleep on a small cot for 5 nights.

The restaurant needs better entertainment and more restaurants. For being there 7 nights, we struggled on finding food that was good enough to go eat again for dinner. Oriental restaurant was not good at all for sushi. Only 1 breakfast place and it was the same old thing. If I go back there, I wouldn't stay 7 nights due to lack of places to eat.

Great Hotel

A great vacation. Staff were attentive and service was outstanding. Every time we turned around someone was there asking if we needed anything. All inclusive is the way to go. The food is very good with plenty of variety. Snorkeling of the back of the hotel, though unexpected, was good. Expensive, but worth it. Caveat: Avoid rooms 1-10 on the 3rd floor as they are across from a very noisy mechanical room. A low frequency rumble. We didnt mind so much, but some would find it pretty annoying.

Cozumel Palace will bring you back again

We loved every minute at the Palace. Of course they have other locations over on the mainland that can be used interchangeably as well but we preferred to stay in Cozumel. The staff are delightful, helpful and looking for ways to serve you. They don't just get what you ask for - they are thinking ahead. The facilities were always clean, the food delicious and the help came in huge servings. There is no beach at this hotel but you can get beach easily over on the mainland or in places nearby. You can snorkel right outside the hotel and its easy with equipment provided if necessary. All the rooms are beautiful, have a balcony and look out at the water. We recommend being on at least the 3rd floor to better enjoy the view. Watching the cruise ships go by and seeing the other watercraft was mesmerizing. Nights were delightful looking at all the lights. We also enjoyed the $1500 extra credit for special things. We used it for massages, special trips and other fun things. We hope to go back soon. We weren't just satisfied - we were highly impressed.

Noise of the Dives Boats
Gary G,
Thu Nov 08 17:23:00 EST 2018
The noise from the engines of the dive boats every single morning is enough to drive you crazy. Noise coming and going is fine (they need to come and go). But why do they leave the engines idling for 45 minutes while tied up to dock? Crazy. Lots of noise (there are three boats each morning) and a waste of fuel. Why don’t they shut the engines off?

We love coming to the Cozumel Palace. The people who work here are very amazing!! They make you feel like family every time we come! This group of people really know what customer service is. From people who clean your room, bell boys, bartenders, waiters and waitresses, entertainment staff and all other areas! We are so comfortable here and would recommend this to anyone!

Great room, thanks to Ana and Saira. From the moment you arrive, Pascal, David at the door take care of you. Staff was great, especially Heri, Roger, Juan. Managers Joel, Jesus and Flavia go out of their way to make sure you are happy. It's why we go back every year!

This was our fourth (or possibly fifth) stay at Cozumel Palace and like always the resort was phenomenal. We stayed Oct. 17 – 26 – from Oct 17th to the 24th we stayed in the two bedroom Presidential Suite (beautiful and so much room, perfect since we were two couples traveling together) and for the last two nights we moved to Junior Ocean Front Suites (the Presidential was already booked for those 2 nights when we reserved but moving was no issue – we had our items ready and the bellmen took care of the rest even going so far as to hang our clothes in the closets of our new room (clothes that were already hanging in the closet of the previous room). So this review is a little late in coming as I wasn’t sure what to write about. As always the food was good – I must note here that the Oriental restaurant Momo is GREATLY improved from our stay last year. The food in there was A-Maz-ing!!! Turquesa as always was wonderful. The Mexican restaurant lacks a little but it could be because we are looking for Tex-Mex – though I do have to say that there wasn’t a lot of flavor in the things that we did order. Rooms as always are very clean and well kept throughout the stay. Housekeeping and the people that stock the mini bar work very hard and also work very hard to accommodate any special requests (we had all of the beer in our fridge replaced with just Corona – not sure what happened to the Dos but I would guess it’s probably a new vendor contract). We want to personally recognize, and forgive my spelling and also forgive if I leave any one out (there are so many amazing and wonderful staff at the resort I tried to write down names as I went but being vacation there were some times when that just wasn’t possible): Pascal – bellman (the whole bell staff is fabulous but he helped us move our rooms in addition to being around for any other needs – he was like a mini concierge in the hotel), Gilberto – our waiter at Momo, Sugei – activities at the pool (there was also another lady at the pool activities – very fun, made sure we were having a good time each day we were there but not overly pushy to join in – just fun – sorry I cannot remember her name), Raul – pool bar, Heri – pool bar and again I apologize there are two other gentleman from the pool bar I want to recognize but I cannot remember their names (and I know the names are important) but you get the picture their staff is wonderful and they really do cater to their guests. We can’t wait for our next trip.
