Beautiful resort and excellent service

Everything (food, drinks, service, facilities, view, ocean) was perfect except that we requested two double beds and received a king instead. One guest had to sleep on a small cot for 5 nights.

The restaurant needs better entertainment and more restaurants. For being there 7 nights, we struggled on finding food that was good enough to go eat again for dinner. Oriental restaurant was not good at all for sushi. Only 1 breakfast place and it was the same old thing. If I go back there, I wouldn't stay 7 nights due to lack of places to eat.

A great vacation. Staff were attentive and service was outstanding. Every time we turned around someone was there asking if we needed anything. All inclusive is the way to go. The food is very good with plenty of variety. Snorkeling of the back of the hotel, though unexpected, was good. Expensive, but worth it. Caveat: Avoid rooms 1-10 on the 3rd floor as they are across from a very noisy mechanical room. A low frequency rumble. We didn’t mind so much, but some would find it pretty annoying.

We loved every minute at the Palace. Of course they have other locations over on the mainland that can be used interchangeably as well but we preferred to stay in Cozumel. The staff are delightful, helpful and looking for ways to serve you. They don't just get what you ask for - they are thinking ahead. The facilities were always clean, the food delicious and the help came in huge servings. There is no beach at this hotel but you can get beach easily over on the mainland or in places nearby. You can snorkel right outside the hotel and its easy with equipment provided if necessary. All the rooms are beautiful, have a balcony and look out at the water. We recommend being on at least the 3rd floor to better enjoy the view. Watching the cruise ships go by and seeing the other watercraft was mesmerizing. Nights were delightful looking at all the lights. We also enjoyed the $1500 extra credit for special things. We used it for massages, special trips and other fun things. We hope to go back soon. We weren't just satisfied - we were highly impressed.

we stayed 5 days at cozumel palace, loved every day! we went to playacar palace for one of the days, which is great if you want lots of beach! wonderful service, excellent bar staff...would not waste my time ever again with the palace time share/vacation club presentation...seems like it might be an okay deal; however, you still have to pay quite a bit for your weeks on top of a fee to join for your weeks, plus we had issues getting our promised ferry tickets (reimbursed).

Overall, the hotel was very good. However, My wife and I were very put off by the relentless sales pressure that we were subjected to. At the initial check-in, the clerk was very persistent in trying to up-sell us into a more expensive room with upgraded amenities, pillows, etc. Then our "vacation planner" tried very hard to sell us excursions, only some of which were covered by our hotel credit. We never were oriented to the hotel, so we were somewhat disoriented about the restaurants, pools, etc. Finally, in order to "activate" the hotel credit, we were forced to participate in a 90 minute marketing blitz in which we were encouraged to "invest" somewhere between $500,000 and $16,000 to become members, and receive discounted future stays, and some other perks. Unfortunately, the 90 minutes stretched to 3 1/2 hours, after which the incentives that we were promised never materialized. I functionally wasted a day of my vacation. For what we payed for this trip, I was profoundly unhappy about this. Overall though, the hotel was very nice, the service was good, the food was good (not great though). I will not be recommending the Palace Cozumel or any other Palace hotels to my friends. There are plenty of nice hotels to go to without subjecting ourselves th the kind of stress that we incurred.

Another 5 star vacation at Cozumel Palace

First of all, I will disclose that We are Palace resort diamond members. Our trip started at the Cancun airport. After a quick 15 minutes to get through the airport we were whisked away by our driver Maximo who was very pleasant and very competent and we enjoyed a 45 minute conversation with him to Playacar, driver Julio brought us back and was just as pleasant and engaging for our trip the airport. After completing our ferry crossing and short taxi ride we were greeted by our diamond concierge Fernando who checked us in and had everything ready for us including our presidential unit. Fernando, through emails to us, had all our spa reservations, trip reservations and dinner reservations already in place. Throughout the week he helped us daily with changes we made and new reservations always making sure we had everything we needed. To top it off, He arranged the most incredible private dinner on our room deck with flowers and rose petals, (I could go on and on about Fernando and his care for us). Our special dinner food was awesome and Sommelier Cesar and waiter Joaquin provided our four course dinner and wine with the utmost professionalism. Fernando's diamond assistant and right hand man is pool concierge Jose Luis. Jose Luis also took care of our daily needs at the pool and helped with reservations and made sure several times a day that we had everything we needed. Such a pleasant young man and incredible asset to palace resorts and it's patrons. Each day we had the pleasure of hostesses Martha and Mari's/LuLu's infectious smiling faces. They are two of the warmest, friendliest hostesses you will ever meet and make your day brighter. The food was good to excellent each day. We thoroughly enjoyed all three of the a la carte restaurants. Evening Capitan Juan was extremely attentive to us. My wife has food allergies and Juan made sure all the food was okay for her and had special dinners and desserts made for her. I thank chef Eric for his creativity and willingness to do that for us. Each morning chef Maria made our eggs to perfection. Waiters and waitresses Isabel, Teodoro, Manuel, Fili made our breakfast and lunch a relaxing joy. they were all helping each other to give us attentive service, thank you all. At the pool Capitan Gabriel and waiters Darwin and Roger checked in on us all day long, getting us food and drinks, moving our chairs and umbrellas as needed. I must also mention lifeguard Luis. His razor sharp attentiveness probably saved the life of a man who fell off the pier and cracked his head on the rocks at a neighboring resort. He dashed to the rescue before anyone else even noticed. Along with many other Cozumel palace staff and rescue equipment soon following. It is great to know they are really watching and have the staff and equipment to help in an emergency. Our presidential unit was awesome. The views were spectacular. The daily morning and evening cleaning crew kept our room spotless and well supplied (I sorry I don't know your names). Finally I must applaud general manager Marco. He is the conductor of this marvelous group of extraordinary staff that gave us a relaxing wonderful week. There are many more that I am sure I have forgotten to mention and I apologize to all of you I missed. In summary, Cozumel Palace is a small wonderful resort with beautiful ocean front view rooms. Very good/excellent dining, incredible staff, evening entertainment, nice snorkeling off the resort pier (and of course great snorkeling and diving off property). I would highly recommend Cozumel Palace to any couple or family. As with any resort it can be busy during USA vacation weeks, but other weeks tend to be much quieter. Our week was 68% occupancy and was quiet. No towel games in the morning.

We normally stay at the Sun Palace in Cancun but decided we needed to come to Cozumel and are so glad we did. The staff was excellent, the room was very nice overlooking the strait between Cozumel and Cancun. We flew into Cancun and they provided transportation to Cozumel including ferry tickets. They drop you off at the Palace Playa de Carmen and you need to walk a short distance to the ferry docks so if you have large suitcases be prepared. The Cozumel Palace was great everything worked fine. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet daily and the waiters were great. For lunch we either ate at the pool or went to the buffet for such a nice selection of fish and salads. In the evening we liked the Asian and Italian restaurants but the Mexican was just so-so (we are from Texas and get to eat Tex-Mex whenever we want so it was nothing special for us). The evening buffets were OK, not bad but nothing special either. I enjoyed playing volleyball in the pool and the evening entertainment was nice. I found the drinks to be just fine and my wife who is essentially a non-drinker even found a couple of the specialty drinks to be kind of fun even if she did not completely finish them I went snorkeling off the hotel landing on two days while it was not great it was OK although I brought my own mask they provide masks and fins. It is always nice to swim in the ocean and see a few fish. We also did a side trip snorkeling using the hotel bonus cash and it was very good seeing lots of fish and an eagle ray (amazing to watch them swim). If you go and I hope you do be sure and do the Chef's Dinner it was really good and we had the most amazing dessert. We hope to come back but now the problem is do we come here or Sun Palace - such delightful problems to have.

Beautiful hotel with a wonderful staff. Easy access to downtown by walking or taxi. Food is great as well as the service. Love the pool and snorkeling right off the deck. Great waiters at the pool, especially Roger. Private balcony with awesome views.

We stayed here for a week in March 2018. Great place to stay on Cozumel. It's the people there who make it so welcoming. First, it's close to the airport. Check-in went smoothly. I will say that everytime I approached the front desk with a question, they were prompt and courteous. There were people in our group who were there to dive, I will leave that review for them. The rest of us were there for fun in the sun. And that we got! We hung out in and around the pool, just getting warm. Our servers were Heri and Emmanuel, and they were both fantastic. Always on the spot getting us food and drinks. The food from the pool side grill was just terrific, the burgers are the best. The pizza from the wood-fired oven are spot on. The entertainment crew was wonderful, especially Sughai (spelling?). She was great, and taught us about making pico de gallo and guacamole. Just great afternoons around the pool. Breakfasts were wonderful. You'll find loads of stuff there to get your day going right. The specialty restaurants for dinner were all very good. The outside buffet was disappointing, stick to the restaurants. Room service was fast and friendly, and our kids loved the food they order from there. So much so, they wanted a 'stay in night' in the room to just order room service. Our room was very nice. We have a family of 5 and had a loft suite. Kids upstairs, us down. Just about the best setup for a hotel room we've ever had. It's a great place to stay in Cozumel. Highly recommended.

Staff is great!

We stayed at Cozumel Palace this past week and we had a great time. The staff is amazingly friendly and the location was very nice. I would have liked a beach but we were able to snorkel from the hotel and we could easily go shopping. We took a couple of excursions from the hotel with resort credits - we did the Discover Scuba and took a snorkel trip. The staff on the excursions were great! We loved our scuba instructor Patricio! He was so patient! The scuba tour after the instruction was amazing! We really liked the photographer for the dive as well. He was really friendly. We saw an eagle ray and a lot of other amazing fish. The water temp was perfect. It was just amazing. The food at the hotel was really good. They had a nice selection of vegetarian options. The only real issue we had was the nightly entertainment. Most nights the music was really loud with a lot of bass but it always stopped by 10pm. We went to bed pretty early so it bothered us but I think a lot of people enjoyed it.
