This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We love the location and the grounds are beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint would be that the bathrooms could use some updating and could not believe we were taxed on the parking fees they seem very high. Overall we had a wonderful stay at the hotel.

Service was great!! Although there were some staff there that gave off the feeling that they really didnt want to be there, but I didnt let that bring a downer to our vacation. The hotel was beautiful and I would love to stay there again if possible.

even though the hotel was under remodeling and we were not told things went pretty smoothly.we did get woke up alot from construction noise and there were parts of the pool that were restricted at times but since it was our honeymoon we ignored those distractions.in the future i would let people know in advance there is construction and let them not be surprised.

What has happened to thos hotel?

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 7 years. But this past week when we checked in to our room there was mold growing on the bathroom wall. They had just sprayed something in the room to deal with the mildew and it set off a terrible asthma attack for my husband. They had no other room to offer us. No one at the hotel cared, and no one offered to help us find another place to stay. wlWe only spoke with a manager that evening when we called back to see if they could help us find another hotel. The manager said he had not been told about what happened. We left a message for the GM and never heard from him. We scrambled to find a new place to stay for a week.

Great place to vacation!

The Courtyard Kaua'i at Coconut Beach was a great choice for our vacation. Our room had a fabulous view of the ocean and beach, a very comfortable bed and excellent amenities. The property is beautiful and well kept, abounding in flowers and greenery and a beach for walking and sitting to enjoy the sun and the ocean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone smiles and answers "Aloha" or "Good Morning". The hotel restaurant has great staff and good food at reasonable prices for all meals. The concierges were very helpful with advice for hiking trails, parks, beaches, restaurants, traffic, shopping and booking our excursions. Our housekeeper did an outstanding job keeping our room clean for the week and was flexible with our schedule when we were in and out on a few of the days. We found the whole hotel was clean and quiet and had many inviting areas to sit, both inside and outside. The hotel is ideally located on the East shore, near a host of additional activities and fairly near the airport. It is in close proximity to the Coconut Marketplace and additional nearby shopping plazas. This location on the island also allows easy access to all the island attractions in the North and South shore areas. Overall, it was a fabulous place to stay!

Great place to stay. Everyone was very helpful. Location was absolutely wonderful. Staff was cordial every time we saw them, whether it be in the hallway, at the desk, or in the pool area. Cost to stay there was reasonable. We had three rooms for all the family. Things could not been better

5 star service with down-to-earth hospitality

Property was just pure of ALOHA. GM, Shaun Borges took care of us, and rest of his team was totally amazing. Property has Hawaiian charm to it, and property is kept up very well. Make sure to stop by the buffet breakfast for made to order omelets, and enjoy the beachfront location!!! ALOHA AND MAHALO

Decent hotel, average breakfast buffet, staff does not police out of control kids in the pool area.

Stayed here due to price and location to airport in Lihue. Bought the daily breakfast - buffet is sparse in choices. "Scrambled" eggs were almost liquid, bacon limp and barely cooked. Pancakes one day, french toast the next, never both. Omelet bar better. Chickens running in and out of the dining room as it opens to the pool area. There is a bistro near the pool with pub food - not too bad. Did not eat dinner in the restaurant but instead went out or had activities. Room OK, tiny balcony barely fit 2 chairs - this was the "partial ocean view." Typical shower/tub/toilet arrangement. Furniture in disrepair - could use a serious overhaul. There were always screaming kids in the pool and hot tubs despite signs to "watch" them, No staff ever tried to control them or reprimand the parents who either weren't there or just sat gettng blasted. Never been to Kuwaii before, so nothing to compare. Maybe this IS considered high end but I expected better from a Courtyard resort.
