Pretty much what we expected
Dec 09 2017
The hotel was about as expected. Front desk staff were helpful and housekeeping staff was great. Always a clean room with fresh towels. The Stingers restaurant staff didn't provide very good service as we typically had to wait to be served even though it wasn't busy. The food was pretty good. The included breakfast buffet was better than expected. Lots of choices, and everything was kept fresh and in good supply. They seemed to have a difficult time with keeping tables clean. The swimming pool is quite small, but we always were able to find a lounge chair. There isn't much beach left -- we were told it was because of the recent hurricane. Snorkeling off the beach was okay. The paid excursions offered from the dive center were much better. We ended up going on the Stingray & Snorkel tour twice. The hotel is a good value for the price.

Loved the location on 7 mile beach. Everyone so kind and accommodating especially John at the front desk! Clean simple rooms. Breakfast included was a nice option.

Good value for the price. The only thing that was given up is the view of the ocean and the beach from the pool. You have to walk a little ways down a narrow path to get to the beach.

First of all, the staff is wonderful. Great breakfast, nice restaurant, terrific snorkeling right off the beach. Treated to a free welcome drink upon arrival. Loved their fish and chips. Terrific location.

You cannot go wrong! Although not located directly on the beach, the sand and surf are a mere few steps away. Beach so beautiful it’s calendar worthy. Our room was super clean with a comfy bed overlooking palm trees and the hotel pool. So convenient having the fridge for cocktail making and microwave for snacks. The mahi mahi sandwich from Stingers next to the pool is as fresh and delicious as it gets! You must try! Speaking of things you must try.... the coffee in the lobby! What brand is that? I even called since returning home but couldn’t get an answer. If management can please respond with that answer, I’d greatly appreciate it.

This establishment is part of a chain but you would never know it with the pride the employees place in their roles. First the rooms are comfortable. We had a junior suite complete with a mini kitchen and better pots and pans than most AirBnB. But you won’t want to cook as some of the best places to eat are within walking distance including the on site “Stingers” restaurant and bar. The full array of breakfast foods and good strong coffee will keep you satisfied until you snorkel at the man made reef on the property steps away. Martin who works the morning shift will assist you with your questions or any concerns (which were none). It’s a great establishment and we will be back.

Great Value!

We give an excellent rating because it was everything we expected! Our room was on the highest NW corner with a bit of ocean view and the pool area. Quiet comfortable and clean. The staff was always more than friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with enough choices to serve your appetite for several days. Always had a chair and umbrella available at the beach. Brenda at Stingers was very welcoming and gave great suggestions to get our little vacation underway. Food at Stingers was good enough, there are grocery and liquor stores nearby if you need to save a buck or two. Ambassadordivers conveniently located right next door to set up Stingray and snorkel or dive tours. Stingers hosted a reasonably fun and priced dinner and entertainment party on Friday night (need reservations) Rooms were always clean. Andy's car rental right across the street reasonably priced (and we had no problems with them, btw) We had a great time and are hoping to go back and pick up where we left off. The Mastic Trail was a work out so if you are planning to include that activity (its free) be sure to bring appropriate shoes and don't use a tour guide (we didn't, and couldn't see a reason for one) Good idea to bring your own snorkel gear so you can snorkel whenever you desire, we did snorkel at Cemetery Beach, husband saw an 8 ft Barracuda at the 2nd bouy! Plenty of snorkel activity right out front at the beach. We definitely would stay here again.

Mid level rated hotel food is very expensive and the beach area for the hotel is pretty small. United States currency is less than the cayman dollar. Not much activities to do on the island we rented a car and drove around not many sites if your on a budget
