The bathroom facilities were few. One was often closed. They could use more bathrooms with some updating.

Coconut Bay was a very nice resort, clean, comfortable. We LOVED the local talent that came in every night along with the entertainment staff. The food was very good, we really enjoyed the Jerk Tree and the lunch in the cove. The only drawbacks were the pools were pretty cold...1 out of 8 of us ever got in, we got in the hot tub daily. Also , definetly, the seaweed on the beach and in the ocean was disappointing, but we took the shuttle to paradise beach on the Carribean side...beautiful! Overall, we enjoyed this resort!

Lovely Place! The pictures on Apple match exactly what it was like. Very Clean place from the rooms to the pools to the restaurants. The only downfall was the beach had tons of seaweed while they had a tractor going all day plowing and pushing the seaweed away from the beach. If you don't mind a little seaweed while in the ocean then you are good. The ocean was also the Atlantic Ocean. It was still really warm. Lots of activities for the kids and nice and quiet for the adults in the Haramony Wing. Coconut bay also offers a free shuttle to a beach on the Caribbean side. This is not advertised. Everyone heard from word of mouth. This is a most! It's nice they offer that while they figure out the seaweed situation.

We took our 17 year old son and his best friend. They had a blast! The staff was great, we were only disappointed in the cleanliness of the hotel. Otherwise, we had a great time too!

Misleading information from Apple Vacations
RONALD S.

The invoices that we received from Apple Vacations indicated that each family would receive a $500 "resort credit". When we arrived we found out that the "resort credit" was actually a coupon book for discounts. To receive any of the resort credit you needed to spend money on various activities and then you would get a discount. This is not only misleading, in my opinion, it is fraud.

Apple promised a $500 resort credit for each room of our group reservation. This was an out and Apple promised us a $500 resort credit per room of our family vacation. We had a group of 15 people and several rooms. This was an out and out lie. The resort knew nothing of this and refused to to grant any such credit. This lie caused a great deal of stress for us and was a terrible start to our vacation.

Per Apple invoice credit was to be issued on arrival. Credit turned out to be a coupon book. Reception assistant did not explain how it worked. Ended up with a $487 bill to pay. No credit applied. RIP OFF!!

Hubby and I have been to many, many different islands. St.Lucia is beautiful. The hotel was great and the split sides for adults and family was great for us as we are older but could still enjoy the young ones when we wanted to. It think it would be really great for our whole family. The food was either very good or just ok. With 4 restaurants that need reservations we were not able to get any which was a bit disappointing. We don't drink and I drink iced tea which I was only able to get in the main restaurant--no bars had it. On arrival we had to ask for our luggage to be taken up which they did no problem. Our Apple rep was really nice but we did not get good info for our tours. Times we off. In booking I wish I would have know the resort was on the Atlantic side as we love to snorkel right off the beach and couldn't because of the waves and trade winds--some days there was no beach at all which is not anyones fault I just wish we would have had the info to make the right choice for us. The staff was disappointing as I love to interact with the locals and I would say we had mostly polite, not rude but not engaging staff. Then again a lesser percent were fantastic. All in all we had a wonderful time.

The Coconut Bay Resort and Spa is probably the best thing about St. Lucia. There were many things to see and do but we stayed at the resort to enjoy the hospitality and overall fun of the staff and amenities provided. It was a great hotel and many times we wish it could last much longer.

The only negative I have to say about the hotel is that I wish they had cotton blankets between the top sheet and the comforter so we could have taken the comforter off (hotel comforters always gross me out) and still had some bit of a warmer layer. I guess the beds could have been a tad less firm, too.

Not bad but paying a premium for Saint Lucia
Kevin K, Bowmanville, Canada

The property was nice. The kept it and the rooms clean at all times. Overall the property was dated and in my opinion a little overpriced. I did understand though the price premium was for Saint Lucia. Being on the Atlantic side, it was very windy most days and evenings. Beach was very weedy. Not really a "hang out" kind of beach. We walked the length of it but that was about it. They did have trucks going up and down the beach daily to clean seaweed. Food was pretty good. Not knock your socks off spectacular but good. I have little to complain about there. Although, did have one of the best steaks in recent memory at the Calabash a la carte restaurant on Valentine's day! Staff were friendly but many didn't go out of there way to show you were welcome there. Although, we did have a blast with Merhan the bartender one night. (Management, give that young man a pat on the back for good work and service) Anyway, be aware of what you pay for. Keep your expectations in check and you will enjoy Coconut Bay.

This was my second stay here in the past few years, on the Harmony side (which I highly recommend unless you’re traveling with children) during the month of February, and I couldn’t have been more pleased. The facilities are extremely well maintained (eg, the sliding door on my balcony was a bit difficult to maneuver and I mentioned it to the housekeeper and she had it tended to immediately.). While on the subject of housekeeping, the staff is exemplary and my room was made up promptly and impeccably every day. It’s almost impossible to mention every positive observation and encounter I had during my stay because there were so many, and it’s certainly not possible to provide any negative feedback because I simply don’t have any. For dinner, I dined only in the a la carte restaurants and, because I enjoy outdoor dining, I preferred Seaside and The Veranda. Calabash is still an excellent choice but it’s indoors. For lunch, you can’t beat the selection at the main buffet and it’s always possible to grab some pizza or a salad or burger by the pool. Breakfast at The Veranda was fabulous! It’s a la carte and delicious. Nice varied menu. Be sure to make your dinner reservations for your entire stay when you first arrive. For me, the highlight of Coconut Bay is the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff - bar none. They’re an extraordinary group of people who went out of their way at every turn to make my stay comfortable and pleasant. Not possible for me to mention specific names (although I’d be remiss if I didn’t say that Chris was extremely helpful at the front desk) because it would include every desk clerk, housekeeper, waiter, waitress, chef and bartender that I came in contact with. Even the maintenance workers and van drivers. Last, but not least, it doesn’t hurt that the hotel is located only 5 minutes from the airport - and, no, you will not be bothered by the sound of airplanes all day! Not a busy airport. Such a welcome treat not to have to make a long trek to the hotel when you arrive in St. Lucia. By the way, during both of my February stays, the weather was perfect. Sunny, breezy, no humidity.

Disappionting in some ways

I am currently here on a 12 night visit that my daughter brought to celebrate my 60th birthday. Where do i start. The hotel is lovely ..we are in a harmony room which has a great ocean view and the room is fantastic. My daughter contacted the hotel re my birthday and when we arrived there was cake and fizz which was lovely. The a la carte restaurants are fantastic with lovely food and staff. Plenty of sunbeds. Help yourself to towels unlike other resorts. As stated previously there is plenty to like here but in our opinion there are 2 main faults here. One being that every meal we have eaten so far has at best been luke warm. There is plenty of choice but nothing is hot. The caribbean night is a great idea however the food was so cold we went to flip flops to eat. Our second let down is the staff. We are sociable people but no one smiles or is friendly towards us. We have seen staff talking to others.. is it because we are 2 women travelling alone? We have looked forward to this trip for so long and the above has really tainted our trip

Lets tackle the hot topic of the beach first shall we! I am a beach person, I prefer to swim in the ocean and to lie on the sand. Yes, this area has an issue with seaweed but I can genuinely say that I lay on the beach every day without fail, the sand is beautiful and soft and I swam most days. The seaweed seems concentrated around the entry point to the beach, if you walk down towards the beach bar you will see the sand there is clean and lovely. The person who said the beach is not usable is simply not being truthful. She must have taken one step onto the beach and then left again! The guys worked hard to keep the beach clear of the seaweed up and down around the beach bar area and it is just beautiful there. There are days when there is hardly any and days when it is heavy but on the heavy days they just clear it away throughout the day. We had a wonderful honeymoon here, 5th to 15th Feb 2019. Thank you to Dillan at the Harmony bar for going above and beyond to get me my favourite drink - they didn't even stock the main ingredient but they insisted on getting some for me when I talked about it. I will never forget that. Emely, the manager on reception, was absolutely superb when we needed help with moving rooms, she couldn't have been more helpful. I should point out that we needed to move rooms because of other guests at the time, not because we were unhappy with our room. The rooms are super spacious and extremely clean. I could write an essay but don't have the time. I just wanted to say we loved every minute, that the beach was lovely - as was the whole resort - and that the service was (in the main) spot on. We decided quite early on that we would be back. :)

Greatest vacation ever!

This was our first all-inclusive trip to Coconut Bay Beach Resort, in Vieux Fort, St.Lucia and we were very pleased with our stay. The staff was outstanding in their welcome, friendliness, services and just good natured people! The facilities and the food was 5 star quality in all its aspects, except for the beach. In the last 3 years some strange weeds have been settling on the beach and the quantity has been increasing. It seems a general problem for all hotels facing the Atlantic ocean. The hotel tries continually to remove them but it is very hard to stop mother nature. However the pools, hot tubs, slides and other water facilities are excellent! The hotel even has a shuttle service to a Caribbean side beach every day, where there is no weed problem. The staff are outstanding and I would like to mention a few names that made our stay special: Carlyle-Entertainment director, Market place restaurant-Bertha, Mary D, Dominik, Neheba, Brad and Aaron, Silk Rest_Elie, Tiki bar-Krystal, Nicole, Natalie and Rhemas, Front desk-Don, Security personnel-Leann and Botanical Gardens in Soufrière- Alex(Mr. Internet)
