Arrived home today after a fabulous two weeks here and can not impress enough just how amazing this hotel is. Yes it isn’t beachfront and so isn’t your stereotypical carribean “resort” per se but we much preferred the personal laid back approach that we received over and above a beach front hotel and truly believe it to be one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We booked with British Airways as a package deal flying from Gatwick but didn’t have the services of a Rep - just a point to note incase anyone was thinking of booking with them- not that we felt any need to use the services of a rep, the hotel concierge was more than helpful with any request we had. We had a swim up room (118) and were very impressed with the quality of the room and the standard of cleaning/housekeeping that we received over the two weeks. The direct access to the pool was a novel touch and we really enjoyed having the balcony to sit out on. That said however the time of year meant that by sitting on the patio with a glass of wine often meant getting feasted on by mosquitos!! Take strong repellant they are out in force in September!! The food here is something else. Seriously off the charts. I would go so far as to say it was the best all inclusive food I have ever eaten. It was fresh, consistently tasty and plentiful - my only slight gripe was that because it was low season we only had the one menu to chose from as the hotel had temporarily closed the separate Creole restaurant for refurbishment so it became a little repetitive but then the lovely Patricia sorted it so that we could choose a creole meal one night which made a lovely change but it would have been good if the main menu could be on some sort of a weekly rotation to keep it from becoming repetitive but as I say the food was that nice it really wasn’t a problem but some might see this as an issue. All meals are a la carte (aside from breakfast, Friday evenings & Sunday lunchtimes when there is a fabulous buffet laid on) and I think this is what sets the hotel apart from any of its competitors, it is a real treat to be waited on twice a day by people genuinely wanting you to have a great experience. No request was too small (although I never did get that recipe for the Cajun spice used on the fries!!!! :-) and it was a delight, and those extra lb’s we have brought home were worth it! What we noticed were loads of local people choosing to eat here for special occasions and we thought that there can be no higher compliment than that as if the locals endorse the hotel then it really must be special. The staff are what really make this holiday poles apart from anywhere else I have ever stayed, Ash, Dario & Dwight on the bar, always replenishing a drink before we’d even asked for one, Princess the wonderful waitress waiting on us poolside who would do the same, Joanna, Lise, Patricia at the restaurant greeting us with a smile and by name every single time - Craig the handyman always having a laugh with us - they all left such a positive impact on us they have genuinely left us wanting to book again for next year, it was completely down to them and their service that have made us feel that way. Apologies to anyone we have missed out! There is a safe and a fridge in every room although only two bottles of water are complimentary upon arrival. The tap water is drinkable and not only that it is crystal clear and seriously thirst quenching given that it is filtered from the mountain round the corner!! There are both UK & US plugs in the room so my advice would be to take an extension lead and plug it in then you have four extra sockets without the need for an adapter. You also receive an iron and ironing board in the room so no need to pack those. You get complimentary beach towels which can be replaced daily at reception. Oh and you don’t have to wear those god awful all inclusive wrist bands - just give your room number in at each meal and sign the receipt, as is the norm with most AI hotels the premium brands are charged extra so be aware if you prefer a certain brand of drink that you may be charged. The beach is less than 5 minutes away on foot and is certainly worth a visit as it is beautiful. We personally didn’t like the fact that some less than desirable people approach you trying to sell things or to get you to book a taxi etc - it’s easy enough to say no thankyou but I personally didn’t feel comfortable enough to warrant going to the beach for the day but the sunset is worth seeing from the beach so definitely give it a visit but be aware that you will be approached repeatedly. The hotel is perfectly located beside the mall where there are loads of shops and bars but as I say we tended to stay in and around the hotel so I can’t comment on those. The hotel is about 90 minutes away by transfer from the airport and it’s a bit of a windy bumpy road so if you are not a good traveller this is something to note. We waited 8 months for this holiday and it was worth the wait. If you are deliberating choosing this hotel over another I would urge you to choose Coco Palm I can honestly guarantee you won’t regret it. Thankyou for a wonderful time. I can promise that we will be back!

We stayed at Coco Palm for two weeks on a family holiday. The resort is fantastic if you are looking for a quiet place to stay but want to be in easy reach of the restaurants if Rodney Bay and Reduit beach. The resort itself is very pretty, and our family suite was large and perfect for two adults and one child. The two rooms that comprise the suite are easily closed off from each other with a double door and each has its own bathroom. The pool is great and there is always a choice of sun beds in either the sun or a shaded position if you prefer. The bar and restaurant are great and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. My 11 year old actually asked me one day why the people there were friendlier than anywhere else we had been on holiday. Just FYI, this is a smallish St Lucian resort so don’t choose it if you’re looking for an entertainment team or you’re only comfortable in the company of other British tourists - while we were here we were almost the only British guests and the majority of other guests were mostly either St Lucian themselves there for the weekend, or from other Caribbean islands. This added to the experience for us, but may not suit everyone. Lastly, the one thing that wasn’t perfect was the transfers - our booked return transfer to airport just failed to turn up, so just double check in plenty of time when you book, but other than that I hugely recommend this place.

It was a choice between St Lucia and America, and St Lucia won the day. We celebrated a multitude of Events, 18th & 50th Birthday, belated long overdue Honeymoon and College results. To see the Hotel on arrival was nice, spotlessly clean, credit to the Cleaners, Housekeepers and Ground Staff, all doing an amazing job. Reception staff were always helpful and cheery. Special mention goes to Head Concierge - Peppy and Barman - Ash, both exceptional in their varying fields, always helpful and happy to see you. The tours that Peppy arranged for us we very very good. We didn't go all inclusive as we wanted to experience food and lifestyle of the Country and not be beholden to meal times at the resort. Breakfast was always good and the staff always pleasant, if we had an issue it would be with evening meals. We only ate within the restaurant on 4 occasions and it was clear that they could not handle large amounts of people, on two occasions we waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive, this was observed by staff but no action taken or apologies given. What we did observe was that after much despair and not waiting to order further side dishes this was the only time that the Staff would put any urgency in dealing with us as they would be rapid with us signing for the Bill. Another issue we had was with our room location, don't get me wrong the room for us and our children in adjoining location were great, however with it being in the annex and so close to the bars and main road it would be ideal for insomniacs as sleep is at a premium and usually after 2am. Showers are a challenge with only two settings - Ice Cold or scalding. We did not complain to anyone over our issues and were happy to persist as we didn't want to get tagged as being complainers of nuisance occupants, we were there to explore and enjoy the Sun which we managed to achieve. Would I return, most certainly and I would recommend the Hotel to anyone.

Cute Resort in the heart of Action

What a very nicely laid out resort in a prime location. The first thought when you are driving into the resort is...ok, it's cute and I like the architecture. Once you get into the lobby, you realize it is quaint, cozy hotel....but in a really good way. The people are very friendly and treat you like family. ROOMS: The room are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. I did not experience the same amount of issues I usually encounter little problems in the smaller island hotels, but this hotel had a very nice flat screen TV, in room coffee and tea maker, the bathrooms were very nice as well with large showers. I had a great view out to the pool. RESTAURANT: The food at the resort restaurant is really great. I was with a few people and all of us had good meals. From the breakfast buffet, to hanging out at the bar. Believe it or not, we found ourselves hanging out at the bar, and ordering food from there. We had a blast with the bartenders, and the servers...they are funny, they sing to you...they joke with you...they are great. (BUT THE SIT DOWN DINING is also a great choice...we just preferred the lighter side) POOL: great pool and deck. Even though this is close to the main restaurant and club areas, it was not loud at all. It was very quiet and felt very private. We didn't get to enjoy the pool because there was so much to do during our stay, but there was plenty of people enjoying it without us. AREA: So much to do in the area, from walking to the MANY restaurants...which you will find local restaurants and very nice upscale restaurants. The clubs are also within walking distance, it was not at all scary, we felt very comfortable walking around the area even at 2 am. There was a Friday night street party down the road, which is more like a closed street festival with tons of local vendors selling food, drinks, art and other cool things. You won't go wrong at this property for a nice getaway,..and there were a good bit of business people here as well. A couple of them said this is where they stay on business because of the location, reliable internet, and because they feel like they are home away from home. One guy had been here almost 20 times in the last year.
