Great hotel to stay in Cozumel
Wed Sep 12 11:15:41 EDT 2018
Stay there for 6 nights. During our stay, they renovated one of the elevators just out of our room, and the strong paint smell forced us to change room. Wifi is kind of comes and goes after we change room to 5th floor. It's okay on 3rd floor. Good breakfast, comfortable bed, convenient location, and very helpful staff. They made a big plate of ceviche with the fishes we caught in our spearfishing tour for free! (Of course, I left a good tip for that.) All in all, good value for the money.

Great vacation hotel

Upon our arrival we were greeted with cool eucalyptus washcloth's on a hot August day. Very accommodating staff, excellent location, nice room (with safes & mini fridges) and a very comfortable bed. The free breakfast was very tasty with both cold & hot food, fruit and juices and served at least until 11 am. The price was outstanding for everything we received and I highly recommend staying here. Only negative comment would be that the keyboards in the internet room were Spanish so I was unable to figure out how to add the "@" symbol to an email address so had to use my phone for that.

Decent for central of Cozumel

We chose Casa Mexicana as it was around the corner from our dive shop. Please note we really didn’t like Cozumel - either above or below water as it really wasn’t our scene at all (tacky cruise ship mass tourism and very run down). Casa Mexicana is a good pick if you want to be downtown and it is clean and reasonably well maintained. The breakfast was very good with a broad selection - although it was super tacky that they make you wear these horrible bracelets in order to get breakfast? ! Why they don’t just take you name and room number like most other hotels in the world is baffling. Staff was so so - pretty transnational. Hotel has a nice feel but dated. The room was clean and large, with standard 3 star feel. Overall ok value for money - 3.5/5

Very clean and convenient

Very clean, neat, and very helpful staff. Connected with dive shop Deep Exposures, everything was very smooth with check in and any questions answered! So convenient to main street areas, dive shop, restaurants, and Mega Store for staples. Actually had a pretty good view from one of the less expensive rooms. Would definitely recommend.

I had to switch here half way through my stay because of the other bad hotel this one was worse

This Hotel was terrible. The only thing that was good was the room keeping, they came very quick apon request. I was sharing a bed with one of my family members and the room was quite cold, I went out and asked for a extra blanket for me, when I got outside one of the receptionists was chatting with a guest while I was waiting, after finishing their 5 minute chat I went up and asked for a blanket, I had to ask 3 times periodically throughout 2 hours, I finally asked my other family member to go out and ask they said it would be there shortly and we went out to go to dinner it showed up 20 minutes after our 1 hour walk and dinner just in time for bed. The breakfast okay and the staff was friendly (mostly over cooked food but still alright) If you are a light sleeper this hotel is not for you despite the mediocre food and good staff every time someone shut a door it sounded like a bomb went off it was a poor stay and I would not recommend.
