The hotel staff could have cared less that it was my Birthday. They were not friendly, did not try to give me a room with ocean view. Wanted to charge me to call Apple instead of just making call for me. Beach was horrible-kids everywhere and Mexican people constantly bugging you to buy their stuff. Couldn't relax.

The room was clean the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable. This is a good hotel for the money. The location is great. Right in the heart of the romantic zone and only 2 short blocks from the beach. Our room had a balcony facing the street which was nice. Our friends had a room facing the inside terrace and they found it a little dark. The upstairs pool and deck is nice.

Good on a budget but not for amenities

For the price, I wasn't expecting luxury, but I was at least expecting to look out the window. Turns out they are faux windows...no view. I had a "Deluxe" room but no table or chair to sit at. Other room of same size did. They had tables down in the lobby area which I would of loved to sit at but they were removed the day i arrived and only replaced the day i left. Wifi worked great in the room but very weak on the roof by the pool where I also would of loved to sit at. Water pressure in shower was kinda low but doable. There is a big step up to the bathroom which is a far reach for those with issues. All in all it was okay for the price but could of been made better with simple things. The staff were very nice and accommodating and the location was just perfect to everything.

Nice visit

W have stayed here before and our opinion will stay the same. All the employees are pleasant and helpful. The housekeeping goes that "extra mile" to make our stay special. It is closer to the beach and easy walking tho Manny restaurants and shops.

Excellent location but disappointing room

We were grateful to get a room during the high season. In the desirable Zona Romantica, this hotel occupies a prime location. Our room, on the east side of floor 2 (I believe it was room 206) contained 2 double beds, a small fridge and bathroom. The single exterior window was sealed and opaque. the interior facing window had no direct sunlight and it opened directly onto a public walkway. The room was very small, not enough room for luggage racks so we used the end of the beds. Linens, pillows and mattresses were clean. But,there was an unpleasant deodorant smell that was impossible to dissipate since there was no cross ventilation and no ceiling fan. The bathroom was poorly lit and had no vent fan, which added to the room odor. There was no table lamp, just recessed ceiling lights. Hot water in the shower came quickly in the small shower stall which was a plus. Staff were friendly and made every effort to accommodate us but the hotel was full and the only other room available was larger but had the same issues. We checked out after one night, paying a $88 penalty since we had reserved a week, moved to a hotel 2 blocks away with a large room, lots of sunlight, a ceiling fan, exterior patio doors and a well lighted bathroom with vent - for the same price. I understand there are rooms facing south that have balconies. so these could be better choices (but the street noise goes late). The rooftop pool is small but nicely heated. But it gets crowded during the day.

Not again!

The staff was wonderful. The hotel was pretty. The location was excellent. The rooms were tiny. The one window was frosted so no seeing Mexico from the room. The bathroom had a window high up with only a screen and lattice covering. No glass. One small closet with 3 hangers. No space or surface to put anything. No drawers or shelves. I was very disappointed. Not mylast trip to Puerto Vallarta. Won't stay here tho.
