The 24-hour all-inclusive Caribe Club Princess Resort & Spa lies on a beautiful expanse of white sand on Bavaro Beach, swept with coconut palms. A terrible hotel. Dirty rooms, slow, no problem solving skills by staff, did not feel like a vacation. Checked out of the resort a day early to go to a different resort all together to enjoy the last bit of vacation. Waste of money at caribe club princess. So extremely disappointed.

Renee Brown was my roommate. We experienced such serious problems in our first room they eventually moved us. Room 1 problems: bathroom ceiling leaked, toilet and shower both flooded. It was slippery, smelly and we couldn't dry anything in the bathroom. We could not use the hairdryer or get ready for dinner in the bathroom. It was a nightmare. We immediately complained and had to call and visit the front desk many times to get them fixed. The maintenance man came twice. His efforts resulted in no change. The manager moved us to another room, 1162. The AC was broken which made it nighmarishly hot. The TV did not work. The icing on the cake was that sewage water was dripping through the bathroom light fixture over the bathroom sink. We immediately reported the problems. I actually wrote a note to the manager. We called. We told the maids in the hallway. We followed up. They changed the light fixture but of course, the smelly water leak continued! The AC never worked. So it was a nightmare trip. Despite daily emails to Kimberly Perry who booked our trip and who was apparently back from vacation a couple of days before we were leaving, Apple Vacations did NOTHING to help. Kimberly Perry basically blew us off. After the trip was over, she sent an email telling me to call a generic phone number. She did not pass along any message or notes. She had a full list of problems with timely updates. Because of this nightmare experience, I want a refund. I will be reviewing Apple Vacations on outside sites. I have a Readership badge on TripAdvisor. We went on the trip with 6 couples. All of our rooms had issues; water pipes breaking, toilets not working, AC not working (too cold & too hot), trouble with keycard entry, trouble with safes, no hot water, lost electricity twice, light switch exploded in room, room flooded from bathroom pipe, had to take thermostat apart to change temp, sliding doors did not work easily. The hotel is very tired & not well maintained. 9 of 12 had stomach issues. The staff was excellent, except the front desk. Check-in was difficult. Some had trouble getting towels from maids.

The restaurant and bar staff were awesome. Our room was old, bed uncomfortable with aged mattresses and the A/C did not function properly the entire stay. We went to the lobby desk 3 times to complain and ask for another room but we were told by Emmanuel (VIP Manager) and his staff that a better room was not available.

Air Conditioner was the wrost even after they switched our room. Guess is what they can do. The VIP has alot of benefits and one of them is 24 hr. Room service. My kids ordered three different times on different days ice cream "something in the menu" they took the order and it never delivered and if you call to find out the status they won't pick up. Seaweed was horrible but uncontrollable. Beach is nice overall hotel and employees are very nice great attitude and energy. If you tip them they won't forget you. Premium drinks with vip. Cigars are a gift not all that and everyone gets a bottle of brutal. The maid does pop up early. Fills the fridge up with beers soda bottles come and sprite and alot of waters. They will deliver juice if you ask guest services. Most channels are in Spanish but who cares you are there to enjoy. Ask for a main pool room great music. Then party starts at 4 and beach is close.

Good Hotel, staff very friendly, food at the buffet was okay, restaurants food was good. Beach was amazing, some day there was a lot of seaweed but cannot complain, I would recommend to hotel to have new sunbeds in the beach, most were old and I fell a couple of times. Staff was very friendly. Waiting for the trolley took a long time, it was faster to walk from lobby to hotel rooms. Entertainment was okay. Hotel grounds were clean and pretty. I do have to say that maybe hotel needs to check door lock before allowing customers to go in the rooms. Security came two times to our room to change the battery packs to our room as the key was not working. This is twice in one week were we had to wait for them and change battery packs and security took for ever. Another family had the same problem and we had to call the reception area for them as it was late at night. I would go back to hotel as the beach area and some restaurants were very good.

AC was LTA wife got food poisoning the second day. We were abandoned by the bus on a city tour. My dive excursion was the highlight...we will NOT return to DR, and we have been literally around the world, the worst. If there was a satisfaction guarantee I would demand a 100% refund.

Some great things about the hotel- The restaurants were GREAT and food was even good at the Buffet! La Cava restaurant was AMAZING. The whole resort is very clean and the cleaning ladies do a really job every day of cleaning our rooms. The beach is beautiful and the pools are perfect. There are fun things to do all day for the family. Lots of beautiful animals all over the resort. Kids LOVED it. Most of the staff doesn't speak English, but its not that big of a deal. There is usually someone they can get that speaks English and can help you. All of the staff was very nice around the whole resort - except one male bar tender who rotates between the beach bar and the pool bar (short, not a lot of hair, around 40 years).. he can be very rude

This was our first time at an all inclusive and our first time in Punta Cana...we loved it! Check in was easy. They held our luggage and told us to come back at 3pm for our room. We went to have lunch and explore the beautifully maintained property. It is absolutely gorgeous! We walked through the mangroves, nature area, filled with birds, ducks, turtles and other wildlife. Closer to our resort rooms we saw peacocks and even a flamingo! We went to lunch at the snack bar and met Kelly R. who brought us drinks. He was so nice and welcoming! He brought me a big glass of champagne! When you check in, make sure you ask for your towel cards. This is what you bring to the pool area to get your beach towels. Anyway, check in was easy and we brought our luggage on the shuttle from the front desk area to our room. We stayed in the Cayena buiding, which was right next to the main pool, restaurants and beach. I liked that you didn't have to walk far to the pool and beach!Great location! We had 2 superior garden view rooms.The room itself was very spacious and also had a beautiful balcony. The A/C worked great and we had a ceiling fan. I was actually cold at night! The only downside was the bathroom. Our bathroom had some mold outside the shower. But it was functional. We always had hot water in the shower etc. We used our bottled water to brush our teeth. There are 3 beautiful pools! The main pool has the swim up bar and more activities. Pools #2 and 3 were quieter. We loved pool #3 with all the palm trees, shaded areas, fountains and sitting areas. There was a bar right there and mini golf close by. The creperie was by pool 2...great chocolate crepes with ice cream and iced coffees! We did the buffet every day for breakfast and had the nicest and most friendly staff. Angelo was our server. He was so friendly and hardworking. He remembered what everyone in our family liked to drink. Niorka served us coffee every day. She was the kindest lady...so sweet and attentive. We looked forward to seeing them everyday. They are amazing and really represent your resort in such an amazing way. We enjoyed the Mexican and Italian restaurants very much, but our favorite was the Brazillian steakhouse! We had no problems getting reservations. When we first arrived we had no towels at all and eventually got some. After that, we would just leave our maid a note in Spanish asking for what we needed and leave her a $2 tip every day for all her hard work. She kept us well stocked with everything including our minifridge with water, pop and beer. The weather was beautiful. You could always find a pool chair or a palapa and chair on the beach. Everything is very close. The beach was beautiful. Swimming in the ocean was fabulous! These hard working staff cleaned and bagged up all the seaweed every morning. Security is always present. We used our safe in the room for $20/week. We just said no to the vendors and they didn't bother us. There was a lot to do with ping pong, shuffleboard, bocce ball, archery, pool, mini golf, beach and pool. The Michael Jackson show at nighttime theater was absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed it! This resort was a great value for the money. Spending 7 days with my family here was such a great getaway! The resort is beautiful and the staff is very hardworking and friendly! Gracias!

My husband took me out to this resort for s day. It is extremely beautiful. Staff is friendly. The checking in however was really confusing but the next time we make a trip back to this resort we will be knowledgeable. Now don’t be in such a rush to check in because no one get a room until 3 PAM anyway. However in the meanwhile the buffets and bar is open so we are not get bored or uninterested. Rooms are beautiful. Drinks are not cheap on liquor and the activity staff really try to keep the hotel residence going. Pools and beach is BEAUTIFUL. The bellboys are customer service is great as well ( I hope I have their title correct). Leaving was smooth. We met Alexander the Great lol. He was funny. My husband and I are trying to come back on July 24th but we don’t see any vacancies for that week. We’re really comfortable and happy with our experience and hope to come back again.

I will start with positive. Ocean and the beach were absolutely beautiful!! The nature walk to the lobby was the best I've seen so far! We all loved it! Moving on... Food was ok, the resort is small, but cute. Rooms are old and dirty. Our mirror was dirty from the first day we arrived and it stayed dirty as we were leaving. Sheets had stains on them, curtains were grey with dust, and we were missing a glass part of the shower door. TV was not working. The fan above the bed had dust bunnies all over it. We are thankful the beach was amazing, so we spend little time indoors. We will never return there again. This resort is NOT 4 stars. I would qualify it as 2.5.

I'm currently staying at the Caribe Club resort and this is only my second day here. Since arrival our stay has been absolutely horrible! I have never had such a excessively bad vacation until now. My patience with this place has worn thin and I no longer want to even stay here. Let me start from the top. Upon our arrival we were told we had to wait until 3pm to check into our room which completely disregarded the early check in request that the hotel approved. We were taken to our room and was given a double bed room instead of the king sized bed I requested. Aside from that the room itself was disgusting and not at all presentable to any paying guest. There were cracks all over the walls, parts of the ceiling caving in, paint chipping, mold throughout the bathroom, and dirty cups. I was NOT going to spend my vacation in any room in this condition so I went to the front desk to voice my concerns. To my temporary satisfaction I was given a new room with a king bed that was in much better condition than the previous room. Finally I thought I could start to enjoy my vacation but more problems followed. The TV was broken (didn't turn on) and so was the remote. Also there were undesirable stains left on the couch in the room that would have been clearly visible to any room attendant but it was not cleaned. A technician was sent out to repair the TV and remote which is temporary I'm sure because the television buttons are all haywire. The power button doesn't work at all, the volume down button turns the power on, the channel up button turns the TV off which clearly shows the age of the TV's in the rooms. They need to be replaced but since the remote works now we're ok in that regard. Upon leaving the room to get a bite to eat, when we returned our key card did not let us into the room. We had to wait for a shuttle to take us back to the front desk which took 30mins and once we arrived we got our keys reset and had to wait another 30mins for a shuttle to take us back to our room. When we returned back to our room much to our surprise and aggravation the key still did not work so again, we had to wait for the shuttle to take us back to the front desk as it was now after 2am. Arriving back to the front desk we were told the door was malfunctioning and that we needed to go back to our room and wait for a security guard to let us in. Again we waited 30mins for a shuttle. Once we got back to our room there was no security guard waiting as the front desk representative told us there would be and again we waited for 15mins for someone to show up. Finally we were let in our room and wanted nothing more than to shower after the ridiculous adventure we went through for more than 2hrs just to get back inside our room. Surprisingly, there were no wash clothes for us to use in the room but we requested for some and ended up having to wait over 2hrs to get anything. Then to our amazement the water did not get hot after letting it run for 45mins it was still much to cold to shower comfortably so we were unable to bathe our first night stay. The sun was now coming up and we hadn't been to sleep as of yet and the night was increasingly restless as the temperature in the room never reached a proper level of comfortability even though the A/C had been running since before we checked into the room. Today which is our second day we had to make another trip to the front desk to express our concerns with the A/C and lack of hot water. We were offered another room which also didn't have adequately comfortable A/C temperature so we elected to stay where we were and wait for the technician to come and fix our problems. After waiting over an hour for a technician to show up we left to get some food and upon our return the temperature was now 26°C which actually was increase from the 25°C it had been before we left. I called the guest services number to inquire about whether or not a technician ever came and was told that someone did indeed come to the room and found that nothing was wrong with the A/C. At this point I'm feeling extremely disrespected that someone came here and disregarded our issues rather than fix them. The temperature in the room is 78° F and is absolutely unacceptable for anyone to be accommodated in so again we made another journey to the front desk and was told there were no other rooms available in the same category we already had and that we would have to accept a downgrade to possibly get a room with properly functioning air conditioning. I decided against moving yet again as I've already spent more time at the front desk than I've spent enjoying my vacation. I asked for another technician be sent out and currently have been waiting 2hrs + for someone to show up. Tomorrow (Thursday) is the last day of my trip and to be honest I am not looking forward to spending another day at this resort in these conditions. This is absolutely the worst vacation I've ever been on and the staff is apparently ill equipped to handle guest issues. I will NEVER stay at this property again or any of the properties affiliated with them. I work hard for my money and I feel as though I've been robbed. I would have had a better time staying home. Nothing about this experience has been enjoyable and I hope for corrective action immediately.
