Great hotel location

The hotel and airline were fine. However, there was no Apple rep waiting for us at the airport, nor at the hotel. The tour group is called Majestic in Nassau, not Apple. Also, they didn't have the two beds we requested and said it was an Apple mixup. Otherwise, it was a great trip.

The hotel was very nice, at check in our reservation could not be found in the system. Within 5 minutes they had the problem resolved and got us in a room. The people were very friendly and always able to answer any questions we had or set up activities that we were looking to do. The food at the breakfast buffet was amazing and although it was pricey we didn't mind spending the money. Would definately go back and will recommend it to anyone we know who is looking for a place to stay.

The hotel is conveniently situated in downtown within convenient walking distance to almost everything. The private beach is very nice. The extra energy charge is excessive and should be incorporated into the room rate and not be a surcharge. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in.

From a Hilton Diamond Member Hotel is a disaster.....

As a Diamond member with Hilton this hotel is a disaster and a waste of money. Worst vacation of my life. I don’t write reviews but due to the lack of any response from Hilton Diamond services (after several calls to the diamond desk) and the hotel itself I am writing. Lets start with arrival. Go to check in and was offered a room with two double beds when I booked a King 2 room suite which at that point they said was unavailable. After some arguing and calling diamond desk they tell me to go wait. So we proceed to the outside bar for some lunch where we were severed horrible food (dry and tough chicken along with dry and chewy fish, yuck. Lets not forget pcs of bone in the jerk chicken). Yes they removed from bill but it took some arguing. Then I return to front desk at 4PM to be told I still don’t have a room. They now send me and my family to the lounge where we wait another hour. Now, after 5 PM we have a room. Oh boy. Its dirty, phone jack hanging out of the wall, stained ceilings, dirty fixtures, mold in bathroom etc. (I have plenty of pictures). Takes 20 min to get Hot water flowing, then one day there was NO water, yea you heard me, no shower, no toilet, etc. manager comes to the room and semi apologizes then immediately goes to defense and whines about it being inconvenient to him and his staff too and how he now has to pay overtime to housekeeping etc once water is back running. Not my problem, I am on vacation. I wish I could post the pictures of my room and the light fixtures hanging out of ceiling tiles in the halls along with the broken elevator (all week). Don’t get me wrong, “most” of the staff was pretty good and breakfast buffet was great. Lets not forget that the hotel itself is under construction with no forewarning of this on the website. (Painting etc) I promise you I will never return to this property and am now considering changing my brand of choice for my weekly business travels. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in Hilton at this point. Some photos but many more on my phone. Hilton has abandoned any resolution, they have not contacted me back after three calls.

Renovate or close.

This hotel is in desperate need of renovation. For example, of the three elevators only one is operational. My guest room had chipped paint, worn and broken furniture and broken light switches. We will not be back.

Ehhh.

1. Lobster Soup way too salty 2. Staff isn’t very friendly and they can be rude. 3. Elevators were broken the entire 5 days. 2/3 broken 4. Need more food options 5. Plan day around cruise ships. Places close when they leave!

Overall very good--some shortcomings

This hotel is extremely well located right in the heart of Nassau, and close to where the cruise ships come in. This gives guests ample opportunity to walk to Nassau's sites, shops, and restaurants. The hotel itself is clean, with an older but elegant decor. With that said, some parts of the hotel are not in the best condition (e.g. the elevators go out of service from time to time). The staff are extremely friendly and work to make a pleasant experience for guests. Overall we were satisfied with the service. However, there were some lapses in timely service for meals and housekeeping that did detract from the experience. Lastly, our room was nice and had a gorgeous view of the pool area and bay beyond--this was one of the highlights of our stay. We did have some minor issues with the plumbing--the staff did attend promptly and were able to resolve the matter. Overall, would recommend a stay here.

Not what you can except from Hilton.

Loud sounds from construction site 15 meter from pool and beach area. And you will get dust when the wind is in the right direction... (The construction is outside the hotel) Dirty room. Loud AC in the room and loud AC units outside. Non friendly staff.
