We went with 3 other couples for 5 nights to celebrate a handful of 40th birthday parties in January 2017. So if you look at the website and think you're too old for this place, you're wrong. The place is huge which never made it feel overcrowded. There are 2 pools. One is much more loud and that's where those in their 20s and 30s tend to hang out. And as the day progressed, it always looked like everyone was having a great time. This pool has a waterfall, swim up bar and a hot tub and features dance music. The other pool is quieter, but still lively. Remember, the underlying theme of the entire place is to party, so no one cares if you're 50 and whooping it up at the swim up bar. And yes, the quiet pool has a swim up bar too. We've stayed at 2 Secrets properties. At Secrets they say "welcome home" at Breathless they say "welcome to the party". Lots of groups and all have a reason to party at this place. Weddings, honeymoons, birthdays, bachelor parties, divorces...they were all represented and got along with each other. We stayed in 4320 and had no noise issues. The rooms in building 4 (4xxx) will be the most quiet. A lot about this place is typical with other all inclusives. Food is good but not great. Come back tomorrow for your free gift (no thanks). Would you like to upgrade your room (no thanks). Would you like to go on a boat (no thanks). Cheesy entertainment (check). But what stands out is the service. Yorleny is the best server I've had at a tropical resort hands down. Her brother Leo is great too. Both knew our names and drinks immediately and referred to us by name throughout the trip. Santos is spectacular as well. He took care of our group during our day in the private cabana. Which you should totally do. It was $130 and included breakfast for 2, and a server who brought drinks, chairs, lunch, ice, and whatever else you could think of. Lastly, a huge word of advice is to TIP! I brought 100 ones and 100 in fives and it was plenty. Nobody will lay out an open hand expecting anything, but when you do tip, it doesn't go unnoticed and the attention you'll receive will be returned to you in spades! We wish we could afford to go back next year. 82 and sunny in January and being treated like royalty is exactly what we needed. Have fun!

I just got home after spending 7 days here with a friend. I will start with the positive aspects-the resort itself is beautiful, the grounds are nice and well-maintained and the pools are very nice. The E-team was great and did a nice job, shout outs to Ysabel and also Coco (who was nice enough to dance with me often to the little salsa, bachata and merengue that they played-more on that later). The most disturbing thing about the resort is the utter lack of customer service when it comes to the rooms. There is a huge language barrier here. I know that the resort will respond to this review and say that they have their staff take English classes, but believe me that either isn't true or they are not paying attention. When we called due to a few lights not working it took forever to get someone to come and look at it. Then he hotwired something which apparently caused the breaker to trip and we had no electricity, so we had to call again. We were without power on another occassion because even though the electric card was in the slot it wasn't working. Each complaint we had caused us to make at least 5 calls because they will tell you "yes right away" and then never come. Our safe broke twice and "right away" apparently meant 45 minutes when we were waiting to go to dinner. This was just one comedy of errors after another. The resort is only 3 years old but from talking others there, these are not isolated incidents. Kind of sad that there are so many problems with a newer place. There were multiple instances where we asked for towels and didn't get any. They kept running out of washcloths so we didn't have any. For around $400 per night, we expected a much higher level of service. I wish they would have had more authentic Dominican music playing at the resort more often. They played alot of monotonous house music at the pool and they could have made better selections. I am going to leave it to my roommate's review to go in depth about the food, because I am not as picky as her, but the food was so-so. There was a wide selection at the buffets but there are some quality issues and I felt sick for a few days, when I normally have an iron stomach. Think it was due to some old lobster in the paella at lunch that I ate before I noticed it wasn't good. Wish they had more authentic latin dishes too, they had a few, but would have liked to see some tostones and maduros, maybe mofongo. I can get better latin food than their selections back home here in Charlotte. Overall, this was average quality for alot of money. My roommate said she has stayed at all inclusives in Jamaica for half the price with much better service and food. After 7 days we were kind of bored here, there are only 2 main clubs/bars at night and they played too much house and reggaeton and not enough variety of music. We didn't realize when we booked that this resort is on Atlantic side (we didn't do our research to know that there are different sides to Punta Cana) and there were 30 mile an hour winds every day and the ocean is super rough. I like the calm blue sea, so probably won't come back to this one for that and the other reasons noted above.

She was a great server, had our drinks very quickly!!!! The e-team was not as friendly as other resorts. There were a lot of younger couples, they do not cater to the over 60 crowd. Pretty far from the airport.

Place was awesome, and the bar made it even batter of a trip. Plus the foam parties were amazing! Fior was the BOMB at the clubs!! She is such a good time, ask for her!!! Also the ETEAM got everyone going and made me have too much fun. Food was awesome at all the restraints and the waiters were great only bad experience was the Mexican resturant took too long to get our drinks and I never got my meal and constantly waived the waiters down.

Amazing Staff
