Spent 7 nights at the resort. The staff and accommodations were great! Went at the end of October, which is an off season for the island. Weather was fine and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. The food was unbelievable. I purchased the All-Inclusive package, so there were no surprises with the bill. Definitely recommend this resort. There are only 75 units, but the offerings that the resort had were in line with much larger resorts. I would recommend Bolongo Bay Beach Resort.

Bolongo Bay is a great place to relax and unwind. The staff is friendly and attentive. The included non motorized beach toys, (sup, sailing, scuba gear, etc), are sure to make your stay more enjoyable.

This is our ninth time at Bolongo Bay. We enjoy it because of the laid back atmosphere and how small the resort is. I have to admit, it's not for everyone, but it's perfect for what we like. There are excursions, like deep sea fishing, horseback riding, snorkeling, scuba diving and much more. It won't be long before we go back for our tenth stay!

It looks like they are starting to add activities through out the day, however, when we stayed there weren't that many. The couple they did offer the Booze Snorkel and the Rum Runner Relay were fun.

Bolongo Bay...the best!!!

By far, during my travels, Bolongo Bay has it all...staff that's been there for years, and their bantering between themselves falls over to the guests to make for a warm and friendly atmosphere. For a small property it can certainly compete with the big resorts and come out ahead. I would return here in a heartbeat!

I was a little disappointed by the deteriorating condition of the bathroom in our room. We also had some bugs crawling over the kitchen area and in the bathroom over our cosmetics and toothbrushes. After being there for a week, we realized we were not the only ones with these complaints. Another guest who complained at check out was told that those were the economy rate rooms and we should ask to be upgraded at our next stay.

Hotel is older, but very clean and staff was wonderful, especially 007 at the Lobster Grill Bar. We liked the smaller, more intimate resort. Beach was a little rocky, but they work on it every few days to remove rocks. We had a very good and relaxing vacation. Would definitely go back to Bolongo Bay.

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and had a blast. The resort was excellent, clean, fun, small and personal, great staff, and awesome food and drinks. We did the all inclusive package and it was worth every penny! Overall, great time and would definitely go back.

Don’t blame Hurricanes

Stayed for 3 days. Not a resort. Rundown motel,(not due to hurricanes) Rooms need gutting. Spotty hot water. Tiny shower. Only redeeming quality was food & staff. Rates are way out of line for the accommodations. Noisy late at night & early morning. Would not return.

Better than the Bigger Resorts!

This place is so fun! You are right on the beach with beach amenities literally right at your feet. Guest enjoy free use of snorkeling equipment, paddle boards, Hobie cat. Rooms have decks or patios 50 feet from secluded bay shore. The Pool/bar/restaurant is always hopping and the staff is so inviting and conversational. Food and drinks are fantastic. Convenient for families as kids can swim, parents eat, drink, within eyesight. Nightly local entertainment. Owners Richard and Katarina, their son Michael, Danielle, Resident Manager Keith could not have been friendlier, anticipating our needs at every turn and great conversationalists. Not the uniformity of a 5-star hotel (where you don't know if you're in Chicago or Vegas) but clean beachy furnishings and an island vibe that can't compare. We were in charge of 2 teams that stayed there and not a complaint from some 90 guests. Their conference room catering was superb! I wish I could name all the waiters, waitresses, maid and security staff but I don't want to leave any out. All top rate!

We stayed here for 4 nights as part of a tour - took a taxi from the Airport and found out that Bolongo Bay is quite a way from Charlotte Amalie town and you WILL need transport to go anywhere. Hotel is VERY.....loval, meaning that it is somewhat sedated, rooms are ok for size, but not for interior or Decor. Bathrooms, for instance, could really use a refurbishment as well as public areas. A local restaurant is great for Caribbean foods or you will have to check out the local beach pit (a must, actually) in order to get outside the hotel. My main concern is the natural wildlife - loads of lizards, geckos, birds, etc of all sizes that tend to find their way into the hotel rooms. It really is an annoyance! The local is beach, right outside, is ok for a short stay, but if you want entertainment, shopping, dinning, etc you really have to go the !/2 hour by taxi to Charlotte Amalie.

Thanksgiving in St. Thomas

This is our second time at Bolongo Bay. We had a great time. Even without their second restaurant up and running because of the Hurricanes the food was excellent and the staff as friendly as ever. The Thanksgiving buffet was especially nice and the food was really awesome.

Worst service I've ever received.

I've worked in the service industry for 10+ years, and my mom has worked in the industry for 30+ years. I was born and raised on St Thomas and understand the value of hospitality. Seating ourselves at the restaurant with no greeting, and no service after 20 minutes at a table with not even a hello, we figured we'd just order our drinks at the bar. Received by rude service and no sincerity, we decided to go elsewhere. If you can't impress locals who know the industry, good luck in the recovering tourist industry with terrible service that we received. Figure out your staff or figure out your management, because you have a great location and you're squandering it!
