We loved it here! We stayed in a patio junior suite. Very private and roomy. The service was excellent. All we had to do was mention that we wanted bikes for the week and our cart driver Darwin had them delivered immediately. All of the servers were excellent. Lunch was by far my favorite. The sea bass with yucca chips and spicy tuna rolls became an automatic order everyday. Ivan, Jorge, Salvador, Luis and more. Our drinks were never warm, ice replenished before we knew we needed it and they made everything so easy. Our saying was “if you need anything at all, just press zero.” They make it happen. The pool is raised up from the ocean, which we enjoyed. Provided a wonderful breeze and view with no sand. The beach was incredibly maintained. There is a new $20 a night govt tax to keep the beach swept and clear of seaweed (learned while checking in), which we realized was worth every dollar. Some beaches are unusable. This one is great. There are plenty of water toys for ocean fun and a great concierge for off property dinners and attractions. Alex was a great help. We did a cave tour, Rio Secreto, and booked with Alex’s help. It was amazing - really incredible sight to see. Overall the food service and ambiance were fantastic. A true, adults only getaway. Other tips...if you want to exchange dollars, it’s not a good deal at the hotel. Do it at the airport when you land. Your first call from “concierge” will tell you have a gift waiting...it is a sales pitch for timeshares. Just be frank and say you’re not interested if your truly have no interest. They’ll leave you alone. The spa looked amazing - sad we didn’t use it. Once we landed in chairs or cabanas at the pool or beach we didn’t move much other than cooling off in the water. I would not hesitate to spend your vacation here. Boutique feel, beautiful, private and safe.

An Amazing Getaway!

Situated about ¾ of the way between Cancun and Playa Del Carmen, this small adults only boutique hotel is one of the best places to make friends, enjoy fine dining, soak up the sun, and just relax. We spent 7 days calling this resort home and what a wonderful home it became. The staff were simply the best! The poolside bartenders Carlos, Ivan, Jorge, and Salvador were some of the nicest people we encountered. Ivan in particular kept us enjoying ourselves all night! They made some particularly good drinks and had no problem surprising us with fun new ones to try from time to time. At the pool you were treated to all your needs. Many other guests simply laid out in the sun from sunrise to sunset enjoying meals, drinks, and swimming each day. It’s a perfect way to relax. If you go during a stormy season, the staff is also really good about helping you get your things inside before the rain hits. We fortunately only had one day of rain and the rest of the time was beautiful sunshine. The food is astoundingly well done. At breakfast we were often helped by Alejandro, Edward, and Luis, who made sure our dining experience was exactly what we wanted each time. Whether we wanted just a quiet breakfast with some juice, or a more social dining experience our waiters were understanding to both and never made us feel uncomfortable. They simply treated us like royalty. Dinner was beyond compare! We were helped by Leo most nights and again the service was amazing. We tried so much of the food and couldn’t complain about a single dish. The crab legs, superb. The duck, delicious. The Tomahawk steak, cooked perfectly! There are a ton of activities to do on the resort as well. Each day there are opportunities to go snorkeling, play volleyball, try rifle shooting, as well as several classes. We took the Cocktail making class taught by Jorge and learned to make some great cocktails for our next big party. If you leave the grounds you’re not too far from a lot of great sites! We went to Xcaret and enjoyed a day of swimming with sharks and learning about Mexican Culture. If you attend Xcaret the show at the end of the day is worth the price! It is such an amazing performance and experience that everyone should see. We also visited Cobá, an area with Mayan ruins but on a smaller scale than Chichen Itza. However, you are still allowed to climb to the top of this ruin! The view is simply amazing. At this resort you are also very close to the Cities of Playa Del Carmen and Tulum, which by all accounts have great night lifes. Overall we simply can’t wait to go back and we’re 100% sure that Blue Diamond is the place we’ll want to stay.

Amazing Honeymoon Experience!

My Husband and I just returned from our 10 day honeymoon at Blue Diamond Luxury. This hotel FAR exceeded my expectations! We were greeted warmly at the lobby the moment we stepped out of our transfer, our bags were instantly taken care of and we were ushered to the front desk where we were treated with the most intimate welcome and service. Afterwards, since our room was not ready we were lead to the sea-front aquamarina restaurant where we were served DELICIOUS food by the most professional waitstaff I have ever experienced at a resort (special recognition for Hermino, Luis and Alejandro, Dagberto, Leo). Once our room was ready, we were taken to our Patio Junior suite by Gustavo, and were given a tour of our room, all of the amenities and were made to feel so comfortable. Our week and a half was filled with wonderful, amazing food, delicious perfectly crafted drinks and the most amazing service. Jorge, Carlos, and Salvador by the pool were WONDERFUL. They kept the drinks and water flowing and were beyond attentive. We felt like the most important people at the resort, although I am sure all the guests felt the same way. There was always a chair by the pool, or ocean, or both! We never waited for a table, or a drink, or a cart to take us back to our room. We loved that we had bikes that we could use to get around the resort, so fun!! This small hotel is a haven for those looking for a quiet, relaxing escape. We couldn't complain at all about the grounds, or the services or the staff. Just all around amazing. Our only criticism would be the Sales team. I understand that they are just doing their job, but they can be quite relentless. My husband and my self had to say "No thank you" at least 7-8 times before we were left alone. My only note on this, "No" means no. :) On our last day every staff member we encountered knew we were leaving and took the time to say good bye, and wished us a safe flight. Never have we felt more sad to leave! This hotel was PERFECT. Honestly, 9.9/10. ALL of the staff was wonderful, kind and attentive beyond belief. The hotel and rooms were lovely, clean and well maintained. The food was DELICIOUS, varied, MADE TO ORDER, fresh and any accomodations were made without question! We had an amazing time and will certainly be back!

My husband and I stayed for 8 days for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Palafitos Junior Suites. We had an amazing experience at this hotel. The staff makes your feel very welcomed and they are very courteous and friendly. Our Butler Service was outstanding. Samanya and Jorge provided excellent service and were always very helpful and attentive. They both made sure that we were well taken care of and that all our needs were met. They are both courteous, friendly, and respectful. Samanya goes above and beyond! She is very caring for the guests. I had an incident outside of the hotel (nothing related to the hotel) and she assisted in every way possible to make things smoother for me. She is a very caring person. The food at the hotel is very good. All the staff from the restaurants are friendly. Server, Jose David from Ceviche/Aquamarine provided excellent service. He is very attentive and goes out of his way to make guests happy. The hotel is very clean. You get to experience 3 ecosystems in one place. I highly recommend this hotel. We did not want to leave. We will definitely stay there again in the near future.

Travelled here in February with my Mum. It was the perfect place for a relaxing trip. The staff were absolutely wonderful especially at the Ambar restaurant where we were made to feel incredibly special and looked after. The cigar lounge above Ambar was a beautiful place for an after dinner drink and a bit of star gazing but we were sometimes the only ones there. The main pool overlooks the beach but there's another pool by the spa which was particularly tranquil - and the spa is absolutely stunning. There's a good gym too and like everywhere else in the hotel - it's stunning. We had the entry level room and requested twin beds, which we were given. The room was huge, possibly the largest I've stayed in. Beautiful private terrace with sunloungers too, the bathroom was fantastic as well - we loved our room. For an entry level room it was incredible. If you go to this hotel make sure you walk through the art installations that are dotted through the property. These are installed in the courtyards between the accommodation and they are stunning. This place has been landscaped and designed to perfection. Food was great as were the drinks. Only criticism (which the hotel can't effect) was the seaweed problem (although it was much better here than further up the beach) - it looked like a full time job trying to keep on top of it. We stayed for a week which was perfect. Would have loved to stay longer but the dining options may have gotten a little repetitive for a longer stay. You'll love this place if: You appreciate beautiful surroundings and a tranquil vibe You value your privacy and you just want to relax Give it a miss if: You want a party place You prefer lots of different restaurants Hope this is helpful :)
