Dear Blancaneaux Resort Team, thank you so much for a wonderful time at your resort. It is rare to leave a place with sadness in our hearts, not just because of the beauty of it itself, also because of the lovely people that come with it. Special thanks to Juan, who always made sure we are taken care off, we have everything we need and we know about everything that is going on. Also special thanks to Geraldo, we have learned so much about the Mayan Culture, the jungle and Belize itself in just one day on our trip to Caracol, that it turned out to be one of our favorite trips. Gilberto, what should we say, you rock! Thanks for coming with us on our excursion, thanks to you we had many good laughs! Eddie, such a wonderful person, thank you for doing the hot sauce tasting with us, so much fun. We also would like to say thanks to Jaime and Jeronimo. Now, last but not least, very special thanks to you John, Cesar, Diego and Selma, you guys are awesome! And special thanks to all the Chefs of course! The food and the cocktails were delicious every time. Hands down, I found my favorite pizza, my favorite cocktail, my favorite salsa and my favorite jam at your resort, oh and fry jacks, my oh my, so good! One of my favorite moments was the surprise for Michael to his Birthday, what a tear jerker (and I had nothing to do with it)! A secluded decorated cabana was set up for our dinner and as a special surprise, he received a personalized birthday cake! Thank you to everyone for such a sweet surprise! We wish you all the very best…Sambuca…cheers! To everyone who considers Blancaneaux: Blancaneaux is a beautiful, very clean, serene place, away from everything with very professional, friendly stuff. A perfect place for relaxation and lovely nature and even staying for two weeks, we never got bored. The hot pool was definitely one of our favorite spots at the Resort. Every Restaurant is unique and offers great food and the Horses, chicken and the organic garden make this place a bit more remarkable. I got one of the best massages ever, definitely worth a try!!! Unfortunately, I have to mention a subject that appears to be an huge issue for many, bumpy roads! Reading all the reviews about bumpy roads, I expected them to be almost impossible to drive but it’s not like that at all. Please don’t let “bumpy roads” get in your way of experiencing a beautiful country. Enjoy, Jennifer & Michael

Booked a two bedroom villa for a family vacation. Enjoyed the jungle for 3 nights and the beach for 4. I could have stayed here another 3 days easy. It is a beautiful location and the grounds are meticulously maintained. The front desk arranged for our day trips and each one of our tour guides did a great job explaining the environment and the Mayan culture and history. We enjoyed swimming in the river as much as the relaxing pool. Highly recommend it. Make sure and do the garden dinner. So much fun and the staff are superb.

We have a wonderful family vacation at Blancaneaux. The cabanas are spacious and beautiful, decorated with local textiles and hammocks. Big ceiling fans keep the spaces cool even in the heat of the day. The staff help you select and arrange day trips to local sites — we loved the iguana rescue center. We highly recommend this beautiful place.

Wish We Stayed Longer!

This hotel is tucked away in the jungle and it just beautifully decorated and peaceful. The room had a view of the river with a hammock so you can hang out on the deck. The service at the restaurant was exceptional which is great because you can't really go anywhere else. The drinks were refreshing and they even decorate the garnishes and turn them into shapes. The food was cooked to perfection and we enjoyed the specials. Some of the best salsa I have ever had too! It was just so fresh! Johnny was so kind and we loved talking to him and it was nice that he remembered our names each time we spoke to him.

We spent four nights at the Lodge and had an excellent stay. The resort staff were all professional and incredibly friendly. A special shoutout must go to Eddie, Alex and Hector for their knowledge, humour and patience with our family. You guys were great!! We had amazing activities to choose from - ATM and Big Rock Falls nearby are a must. A word of warning - watch out for the scorpions - we had one pop up in our room on the first night, although it was swiftly dealt with.
