A beautiful relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable holiday for our first trip to Huatulco

After ploughing through tonnes of vacation possibilities I stumbled across this cute little gem tucked away at the end of a quiet road in a new destination called Huatulco. My family had never heard of it and were looking to make our first trip to the Pacific coast of Mexico. We have just recently come back from our first trip to Puerto Vallarta and Huatulco wins hands down for us. The hotel is very small with a lovely little pool that is well maintained and very clean. The snack bar has lovely food all cooked whilst you wait and even had delicious chicken wings my children couldn't get enough of. The buffet was very basic as the resort is very small but we never went hungry and the food was good. The buffet is located in the entertainment area so you could eat and enjoy the evening show at the same time. We loved that. I do think that is due to a shortage of resort space. The shows were good fun and the singer/guitar player was brilliant. The buffet chef cooked a fish my husband brought back from a deep sea fishing trip which was fantastic. Customer service was going above and beyond and she did a great job on the Bonita. The head waiter was always working hard. He never stopped. He's a great asset to the hotel. Lobby bar was nice and a great place to spend the evening but the drink selection was poor so I think they do need to look into improving that. The rooms were lovely and quaint and had lovely little balconies attached to the rooms. Not for you to step out on but lovely to open the french door and look out from. The ground floor rooms allow smoking on the main balcony area but you are on display to all the passing guests so not much privacy. The a la carte restaurant was very nice and we enjoyed the meal immensely. No children allowed though which is fine. There are no elevators in resort so those with minimal mobility may find all the stairs too much. TV in the rooms had many English channels which was helpful when keeping the kids entertained when we were getting ready for the evenings. There is no direct access to the beach but there is a beach club. The staff try hard but the buffet there is hit and miss as they have to transport the food to the beach club from the hotel. The beach is enclosed so very calm but the main one is approximately 10 minute walk with a little building dereliction in the area (mostly unfinished buildings that they started but never got round to finish). Always felt very safe at any time of day. The main beach is also a cruise port but we only saw one ship on our whole vacation and it was in and out in a day. A taxi to La Crucecita was very cheap and we made several trips to the main town square and ate out. The town is always buzzing on an evening. All in all I would totally go back to this hotel. Loved every minute of it and other that the lobby bar drink selection we were very pleased with our stay. Thank you to all the staff for a fantastic vacation. We will be back to Huatulco thanks to you!

This location is great as you can easily walk into La Crucecita. Unfortunately the food and wine are weak and the beach club is terrible. There are great restaurants in Santa Cruz so we almost never ate here. The concierge is great but the other staff are just okay. I simply do not like flies on the buffet and thats what you get here

Perfect little all inclusive!

The staff were great and made you feel comfortable during our stay. The resort was located close enough to the beach club so that it was just a nice walking distance. The fitness room was perfectly located but could use some free weights.

Great time

I recently visited Huatulco and stayed on this hotel. We were a couple with a 2 year old and we all had a great time at the hotel. The food is ok and there is something for all tastes, the Chef is always there making sure everything runs as it should. Service is great and employees are super friendly and service minded. The rooms are big enough and clean. The pool area is fantastic. We were there in low season so there was always room available. The Beach is 10 min walking distance, is a small beach but very nice and cozy. In general we were very happy and as a mexican I was very proud to show my Danish husband and son a bit of my country and Huatulco!

A very lovely place to stay

We had a lovely time staying at the Binneguenda Hotel. The staff was particularly welcoming and friendly. the rooms are extremely comfortable, the beds are just right, and the cleanliness is meticulous. We loved the beautiful grounds, trees, shrubs, and the pool was very dippable. The only reason I am not giving a 5 rating is that I was expecting a bit more fish on the menu.
