To make a few long stories short, there was an issue with the bathroom sink that the hotel was aware of but never made us aware of which led my family to having to wash our hands and teeth in bathroom bathtub due to the issue not being resolved until after four phone calls and a trip to the front office after waiting over four hours. There are ten restaurants at the resort in which seven you need reservations, tried making a reservation after standing in a long line on a Tuesday morning and was told that there was no availability until Thursday, made the reservation for the Brazilian restaurant only to find out the night of the reservation while trying to enter the Brazilian restaurant that the reservation was made for the Mexican restaurant. Last full day at the resort we called housekeeping to request some clean towels and after four phone calls and five hours clean towels were finally delivered to our room.

The food staff were outstanding and the housekeeping was great in the beginning. After four days they just arrived too late to clean the rooms. The entertainers were exceptional and embraced everyone so positively. I was quite annoyed about the smoking and felt there needed to be a place for smokers. The fact that no one came to transfer us to the airport was quite upsetting and I was fearful of missing my flight and had to pay out of pocket expenses for a taxi. That should not have happened especially since I had worked it out and even had the person's name who made the arrangements with me. Overall I would give it a B.

My experience at B-Live was the worst vacation I have ever had. I called Apple Vacation and complained and they did nothing. I have booked travel through Apple Vacation for the past 7 years and have referred several relatives to book through Apple. Because of this horrible experience, I will never book through Apple Vacation again. My husband and I are taking our anniversary trip in August and I am in the process of going through other travel agencies. My relatives met me at the B Live resort and I felt awful because I was the one who encouraged them to come there. From now on me, any of my family members, or friends will take our business elsewhere.

Electricity kept going out, TV didn't work very well, when calling room service (3 times) no one answered. Staff was not pleasant at all at any of the restaurants or bars (felt like we were a bother to them). The buffet restaurant's food was poor, the Lobster House food was excellent, and the Auqa restaurant was OK. I would not go back to this hotel.

The beach was disgusting and full of seaweed, the lights and water kept going out, 3 of the 4 alla carts restaurants that we paid to have access to were closed during our stay, the pools closed super early and the quality of liquor at the bars were poor.

Check in was horrible took us 4 times waiting in line for our room to be ready. Had to change rooms, due to no air in the first room and the second room was not much better. Little air and a horrible mildew smell. Was told it was all the room but it wasn't had friends and family in other rooms and their room were perfectly fine. Loved the beach bar Sonja & Jesus was the greatest. Treating us like family knowing what drinks we liked and always making sure we had a table to hang out at.

The pictures don't really represent what the average vacationer will get. The cabanas are for VIP only. The rooms are out dated. It was a nice experience but more so because we had great company. Each couple had issues with their room. Issues with staff. Plumbing issues. We were told to move out things out of our room and we would be transfered to another room 3 hrs later. Which was ridiculous to be without a room mid day in that heat. A person opened our door without knocking whatsoever while I was in the shower and my husband was in bed. Our room was at the edge of the property which was adjacent to a home so we had dogs barking, roosters cock a dooing. The vendors are pushy. The time share people basically kidnap you. They escort you to set up your transportation then deliver you to someone to listen about a time share. I went along not thinking I had a choice in the matter. Admittedly, I enjoyed my time with them but did not purchase a vacation package. But, they are relentless in their efforts to trap vacationers. It's annoying at best. My next resort would have to have no solicitors. The buffet and the steak house provided the best meals. The other restaurants we visited were not great. Fortunately our reservation was early enough to hit the buffet after. It wasn't a horrible vacation but it could have been better.

After reading reveiws about the hotel, I was a little worried. It wasn't as bad as I thought it could have been. But it wasn't what I thought I paid for. I was turned off after staying at this hotel. For all inclusive, I expected more. This was a lower all inclusive hotel, that you have to pay more to get a VIP service. Why pay more? I already paid for an all inclusive stay, and felt like I was at a low brow hotel. Not at all what I expected.

First off it took over 2 hours to check in! That is ridiculous. There were a ton of people helped while I waited. When I finally get to my room it smells horrible and the door handle comes off in my hand every time I try to leave the room. The room was not up dated. The food however was excellent in the buffet and in the restaurant the drinks were good. That staff was good. The front desk staff not so much. The guest service desk did finally help me get a new room days in after continually complaints.

The customer service from the Wedding Groups Department to the Front Desk staff is horrible. We were a group of 13 and were made promises that once we arrived were not met. Upon arrival they will tell you what you can not do, however they fail to tell you that you must book reservations for the restaurant 24 hours in advance. The night club is great. We were celebrating a 50th birthday and wedding anniversary and they made our birthday queen feel like A VIP! As a travel agent I will not recommend Be Live Punta Cana to another traveler when they book with me. We had no face towels in our room and when we requested them it took over thirty minutes on day one. Day two the front desk staff hung up on one person in my party and told them not to call back they had her request. After waiting 45 minutes to a hours towels were received. The bride and groom in the party booked the Honeymoon package and couldn't do dinner reservations because no one informed them of the 24 hour reservation policy for the restaurant. We couldn't have a birthday dinner due to the same restrictions.

The rooms were very nice, the free wifi is helpful. Other than that, it’s average. A lot of people harassing you to buy stuff: souvenirs, excursions and massages... inside the resort and by the beach. The food was not awful but just above that. L....tyle personnel Harrassed me trying to sell me time sharing, when i said excuse me iam not interested the manager become mean and tried to make me feel bad for the lady who’s going to lose her job if she doesn’t sell!!! Assh... The beach you have to walk at least half an hour away from the resort if you want to swim in decent water. The buffet was very basic and not tasty, 3 times i sat at the table nobody showed up for the drinks. All that been said, i only paid 700cad$ for one week so with that in mind it has been good vacation ;) it’s up to you if you want to pay more to have that.

AVOID TO GO THERE. Waste of time. First of all the waitress rolled up her eyes when I said I would prefer a table at the window.... Only 7 people in the restaurant and we waited more than half an hour to have our eggs done. I know that we are on vacation and we can wait, but 40 minutes for a couple of eggs?... and other people who came after us, were served before us.... WASTE OF TIME... Go to the Windows instead, please.

We booked this hotel almost 6 months ago. We were reserved a superior deluxe room, I'm pretty sure we did not get that level of room. We didn't have any sitting furniture in our room other than the bed. The electricity was out for about 6 hours and had to call 3 times and visit the front desk once before somebody showed up at our room at 1100 PM and took an hour to fix. A mismatched toilet seat is pretty picky but certainly when you are classified as a 5 star hotel I would expect better. Food was decent. Large variety of food at the windows buffet. My favorite was the bacon the one day they had it, and the large assorted amount of cheese and breads. The mexican restaurant not so good, slow service and food was luke warm at best. The Brazilian was by far the best restaurant here that we tried. The cooks at the Asian restaurant were wonderful. Mylos the wait staff were not real friendly until we ordered a bottle of wine that we were paying for. Sergio at the main pool bar was fantastic. Made everyone smile and fill our drink orders as quickly as he could and still give us a show doing it. The foam party they had on Saturday was the ultimate party. What a great idea, we had so much fun. The vendors and some of the excursions people are very pushy to get you to buy or book something. We met up with Wheezy ad he really took good care of us. We booked several excursions thru him and he even made arraignments for us to go to an wonderful seafood restaurant close by.

Service is totally horrible - we arrived at 0:00 a.m. with a group of 30 tourists. No one person were on the reception to perform a check-in. We were waiting for 2 hours in night, tired after 12h long flight, but finally got the keys from our room. The worst part starts here.... We had a standard double room, and it looks much worth than on photos - furniture is very old and not in a good condition. Air smelled with mold. There was as problem with water supply (both cold and hot) every single day for at least one hour daytime. When we were having a shower, water was spilling out of the bathroom by tiles to the bedroom. It was covering a major part of flooring each time we were taking a shower! Also, a minor part of this "great flood" was spoiling into the corridor. Also, we found a live cockroach when we were entering our room for the first time. The most interesting feature of the room was breathtaking view to the maintenance area where new hotel building builds every single day. A lot of dust, paint smell and "great" scenery are guaranteed. My fiance had an asthma, and this is dangerous for her health. The second devil - service. When we (alongside with 4 more people with same problems) had described our situation in the details to the receptionist, we were told that there is nothing they can do. When we insisted on changing our rooms ASAP because it at least doesn't fit any health standards (building dust, noise, paint smell, shortages in water supply), and at most we paid for a good service, not for this sh*t! We were told that we're going to make a change in 1 day. On the next day situation repeated, we were told again that they need an extra day to make a change. No excuses, no compensation, nothing! I wish having the same service level at hospitals for everyone from the hotel staff!
