Was told at check in that we had to come back in order to order safes for our rooms. One person in our party had a hard time walking asked for first floor room was told there is an elevator but someone in our group was given first floor room. I was told twice I needed to check out of my room after I had just checked in. Maid service was slow didnt get room cleaned till 5. Pool was slimy One couple on this booking had ants in there bed and in closet. There was 4 drug deals go on at the beach with the security guard near by Specialty restaurant were very good and buffet was good

To make a few long stories short, there was an issue with the bathroom sink that the hotel was aware of but never made us aware of which led my family to having to wash our hands and teeth in bathroom bathtub due to the issue not being resolved until after four phone calls and a trip to the front office after waiting over four hours. There are ten restaurants at the resort in which seven you need reservations, tried making a reservation after standing in a long line on a Tuesday morning and was told that there was no availability until Thursday, made the reservation for the Brazilian restaurant only to find out the night of the reservation while trying to enter the Brazilian restaurant that the reservation was made for the Mexican restaurant. Last full day at the resort we called housekeeping to request some clean towels and after four phone calls and five hours clean towels were finally delivered to our room.

The food staff were outstanding and the housekeeping was great in the beginning. After four days they just arrived too late to clean the rooms. The entertainers were exceptional and embraced everyone so positively. I was quite annoyed about the smoking and felt there needed to be a place for smokers. The fact that no one came to transfer us to the airport was quite upsetting and I was fearful of missing my flight and had to pay out of pocket expenses for a taxi. That should not have happened especially since I had worked it out and even had the person's name who made the arrangements with me. Overall I would give it a B.

My experience at B-Live was the worst vacation I have ever had. I called Apple Vacation and complained and they did nothing. I have booked travel through Apple Vacation for the past 7 years and have referred several relatives to book through Apple. Because of this horrible experience, I will never book through Apple Vacation again. My husband and I are taking our anniversary trip in August and I am in the process of going through other travel agencies. My relatives met me at the B Live resort and I felt awful because I was the one who encouraged them to come there. From now on me, any of my family members, or friends will take our business elsewhere.

Electricity kept going out, TV didn't work very well, when calling room service (3 times) no one answered. Staff was not pleasant at all at any of the restaurants or bars (felt like we were a bother to them). The buffet restaurant's food was poor, the Lobster House food was excellent, and the Auqa restaurant was OK. I would not go back to this hotel.

The beach was disgusting and full of seaweed, the lights and water kept going out, 3 of the 4 alla carts restaurants that we paid to have access to were closed during our stay, the pools closed super early and the quality of liquor at the bars were poor.

Check in was horrible took us 4 times waiting in line for our room to be ready. Had to change rooms, due to no air in the first room and the second room was not much better. Little air and a horrible mildew smell. Was told it was all the room but it wasn't had friends and family in other rooms and their room were perfectly fine. Loved the beach bar Sonja & Jesus was the greatest. Treating us like family knowing what drinks we liked and always making sure we had a table to hang out at.

The pictures don't really represent what the average vacationer will get. The cabanas are for VIP only. The rooms are out dated. It was a nice experience but more so because we had great company. Each couple had issues with their room. Issues with staff. Plumbing issues. We were told to move out things out of our room and we would be transfered to another room 3 hrs later. Which was ridiculous to be without a room mid day in that heat. A person opened our door without knocking whatsoever while I was in the shower and my husband was in bed. Our room was at the edge of the property which was adjacent to a home so we had dogs barking, roosters cock a dooing. The vendors are pushy. The time share people basically kidnap you. They escort you to set up your transportation then deliver you to someone to listen about a time share. I went along not thinking I had a choice in the matter. Admittedly, I enjoyed my time with them but did not purchase a vacation package. But, they are relentless in their efforts to trap vacationers. It's annoying at best. My next resort would have to have no solicitors. The buffet and the steak house provided the best meals. The other restaurants we visited were not great. Fortunately our reservation was early enough to hit the buffet after. It wasn't a horrible vacation but it could have been better.

If you ever come here you have to visit Richard at the VIP beach bar. He is so nice and funny. Makes you feel comfortable and ensures you have a good time with Plenty of laughs. Be live was fun. Beautiful all inclusive. There was a lot of activities for all ages. Food is really good. Was disappointed with the beach. It had a strong smell and a bunch of seaweed everywhere. It could have been from the rain but it was not as pretty as the beaches around Be Live. Also the room was horrible. The beds are extremely hard. Super super super hard. I had to sleep on the couch because it was bad. Honestly the first night I was ready to come home. There was mosquitos everywhere. I know its the tropics but I never had to deal with that in an all inclusive resort. They gave me a can of bug spray to kill them. I have been to a lot of places in the Caribbean and never dealt with that. I asked to see if I could get another room because it made me feel uneasy. They told me there was none available and the the room was clean. There was stains in the bathroom walls, the couch and dead bugs on the walls. I tried not to think to negative because the weather was amazing. Overall outside the room was amazing. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish they didn't have so many people trying to sell things to you. I just wanted to relax and enjoy my vacation with my honey for my birthday but it was memorable. Also Jeffrey from Amstar is great to talk to about excursions. We stayed there for more then three nights and they gave us dinner at there beautiful decorated restaurants. Japanese restaurant is a must. Food was delicious and great portion. The Mexican restaurant is amazing as well. Different options and two types of margaritas to choose from. If you are into seafood they have a Mediterranean restaurant. I'm not into seafood so I didn't enjoy this as much but if you do its a must.

Beautiful

Hola! Traveled with another couple and stayed at Adults Only VIP for 7 nights. The rooms were clean and slept great, nice beds. Weather and beach Perfect! Activities that I enjoyed : Yoga on beach and pool Zumba daily with Victor and Kim who were Awesome! Time was spent walking on beach, swimming in pools relaxing around the resort. We loved the beach bar/restaurant , churrasco steak and cerviche very good! Good Bloody Mary from Jovany! We loved Outstanding experience of eating at the Buffet Adults Only VIP. Omlette station, fresh squeezed tropical juices, fresh fruit, expresso coffee upon request and seriously a large variety of everything! The dinners/lunch were great also with a grill station that varied nightly with streak, chicken, etc. Fresh sushi station , grilled fish station(lunch). Variety of Salads , desserts . Our new friends in the dining service include Stapleton Mama Juana mmm, Bennie, Hector, and Willie who worked hard always Smiling, so friendly! Samuel and Alexander went over the top to organize special birthday dinner for one of our travel companion. Great wine and food was enjoyed! We went to two of the outdoor night entertainments Michael Jackson show and a lady singer that were both professional, good but it was crowded and the area was cigarette smoky. I think they have some issues with their booking system because we did not get the room we booked.. changed room next day and we were happy with that. I have to comment on some of the guests, the customer’s behaviors, the loud cursing, yelping, yelling, boom boxes got tiresome....They were a minority ...Place was big enough that we could wander away from them. I would not recommend the Japanese restaurant. Not good. Brazillian good, Mylos excellent! My experience :Overall memorable vacation in Beautiful Punta Cana ..will always remember the Smiles! Adios!

Great Price, Great Beach, but the haggling on the resort needs to stop

We went to Be Live Collections from March 26th to April 2, 2019. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The beach is very nice, some seaweed but if you walk down a little past the resort the beach gets even better, and hardly anyone there. The food was pretty good, the buffet had a lot of choices for everyone, the pasta and pizza are very good. The a la cartes are very good, the best one we went to was the Brazilian and the worst the Steak house - you have to pay 20$ US to get a steak which is odd and the ribs were very tough - couldn't eat it. The reason why my husband and I would probably not go back to this resort again is for sure the constant haggling on this resort is so so bad, everywhere you went on the resort people are selling excursions, jewellery etc... it is so bad, we spent one hour at the pool trying to relax and they would come right to you and sit on your chair, very unprofessional, there is no need to do this constant haggling it actually turned us off from doing any excursions. The resort should really stop this if they want reoccurring guests, if people want to do an excursions, having a booth where people can asks questions is enough. They also require that you pay 21 US for a lock to use for the safe in your room, I get a deposit in case you loose the key but this is crazy that you have to pay to lock up your passports or anything you don't want to be stolen.

Another honest review w/ TL;DR at the end ;)

Where to start with this review? 1. We waited in the inefficient check-in line to find that we’re were apparently “VIPs” and needed to check in at the VIP desk. (We were unaware and certainly did not book VIP - read below for more on this) 2. We were booked in the wrong room and given the VIP upgrade to a new room. (See above) We didn’t book VIP but later found out that the hotel was over booked and we were given the complimentary upgrade. Could this not have been communicated via email saving us check in time? 3. It wasn’t until we got to the “upgraded” room that we realized things were wrong. We DEMANDED the proper room. We had booked a swim-up in block 16/17 and told that block 3 Oceanview was a substantial “upgrade” - what a dump!! 4. We were told to come back in the morning to check for the room movement to our proper room. Told to come back at 3. We showed up again at 2:48 and were rudely told to “you have to wait until 3!” Ok. No worries. 12 minutes right? (Twice we were told by two different people to wait until 3). We were told that we would be helped by “Nicholas” who promptly disappeared at 3. So we were told to go back to the original room, pack up and someone would help us with our bags. We were packed up and ready to go with no one to help us. We called the VIP desk and no one had any idea about us switching rooms. Nicholas left us waiting until 3:45 to when I finally spoke with him he flat out lied on the phone saying he told us “around 3”. Around 3? Really? Check-in at this hotel is 3. If you’re not going to be ready, give me an exact time to return to no interrupt my beach day (but then again “morning” didn’t work for them either) 5. We finally got our new room (we met a couple that was moved 4 times in a day and a half) The swim-up block is where it is at! But buyer beware. We bought the deluxe swim-up room as did several other couples we met. We were fortunate enough to get a true ground level swim-up room but other couples that purchased the same package were placed on levels 2, 3 and 4 of our building. NOT a true swim up room. What a joke! 6. The swim-up rooms might have a pool at the doorstep but the swim-up pool is very communal. People will sit on or near your “room space” which everyone here agrees should be changed. People on floors 2, 3 and 4 of the “swim-up” suites or people from other blocks should not be allowed access to a pool/amenities I’ve paid extra for. 7. The block 16/17 might be nicer and more modern, but the hallways are stone and concrete. You hear ALL the noise. There needs to be some sort of sound barrier in the hallways. 8. What does VIP get you? Top shelf alcohol? Absolute vodka but not Grey Goose? Nothing is more top shelf than Grey Goose. VIP is nothing special. VIP rooms are placed all over the resort. There is a VIP breakfast restaurant (whoopie), beach area (which is far if your “vip” room has been placed on the far side of the resort) and a beach bar. The beach area has 8 cabanas and a dozen or so loungers. You’re not going to get access to these unless you’re up at 5am with your towel in hand (see next point) 9. Because the VIP area was full we went back to the FAR side of the beach to use a cabana. (Unaware that the loungers cost $10/day to use) A beach “attendant” came over to us and after a short conversation told us: “your VIP section is on the other side of the beach. Go back over there. You aren’t going to make me any money”. Rude! 10. There is a guy that works at the Burger Bar during the day that is among one of the rudest humans I have met. The food here is decent and will keep you full but is out of most things on the menu. We’ve been eating mozzarella sticks aka “bones” and chicken nuggets all week. And it turns in to conversations of rude outbursts “No Bones!” The menu says they have bbq sauce. “No bbq sauce!” There is a burger that requires bbq sauce on it. Every other server will gladly get you sauce from the kitchen. The rude guy will not. I ordered a hot dog with cheese one day. He pointed at the menu, I said yes. And then ordered nachos. He went to make nachos and came back and threw the plate of nachos at me. I stood waiting for the hotdogs and he came back to ask “what are you still doing here?” I said I was waiting for the hotdogs. He looked at me and said “no!”, turned away from me and promptly served the person behind me without allowing me to order more food. Keep in mind we have been nothing but polite to EVERYONE we meet AND there was a customer in front of us who had a fresh hot dog made for him. 11. There are some EXTREME language barriers with important staff - aka bartenders. I’m not a drinker myself and ordered a “Pepsi Lite”. He proceeded to half fill my mug with rum and pour Pepsi in. I ordered an iceberg for my girlfriend and the bartender blankly stared at me. Again I repeated “iceberg” and he said “oh si”. Started filling her mug with ice, “ice si” (looking puzzled). I said “no no. An iceberg: beer topped with margarita”. “Ahhh cerveza!” Pours beer on top of the ice lol *face palm* 12. Bartender Nicholas at the far end of the resort in the high teens (14,15,16?) block? Pretty miserable to deal with until you slip him a buck or 10 like we did. It’s cool you work for tips, but you’re also make a wage/tip out. I shouldn’t have to pay for you to smile. Nice dude once you tip him but again, really? 13. Spelling isnt a strong suit here at this resort. There were times where I wondered if I was being Punk’d. Ever heard of spell check? The hotel name Be (space) Live is actually Believe. They had gnocchi on the buffet the other night: nokki. And we have a dinner reservation at Japones restaurant. We couldn’t for the life of us figure out what restaurant this is... Japanese. Got it. 14. The servers at the buffet for breakfast are also miserable. Two days back to back: one day took a half hour to get a cup of coffee and the other day we had to get up and get our own (we saw others getting refills and first cups of coffee. We NEVER got a coffee refill and on both points, it wasn’t ever busy and overwhelming to trouble a server for coffee). 15. The buffet for breakfast is mediocre. The dinner is worse than Cuban buffets. Avoid at all costs. A la cartes are hit and miss but definitely a step up from the buffet. Don’t be afraid to order more of a food at the a la carte if you find something you like (apps/starters main courses). You’re not limited to ordering one thing! (People don’t know this!) 16. We were told as a regular guest you get 3 a la cartes a week. As VIP we get 7. This is also hit or miss. We met several non-VIPs that booked 7 and others that were only allowed 3. 17. The disco is a joke. Free drinks from 11-midnight and then $5/drink there after. If the disco is your thing, find a resort with a disco on site that gives free drinks = more people. This place was pretty dead. 18. Check out day. As VIPs we get late check out (based on availability). Why is this even an option? Based on availability? Of course people are coming to book a swim-up room. I checked the night before and I was told to call the front desk. How do you not know the availability the night before? So I called in the morning and gave my room number. The guy asks when we’re checking out (do you not have this in your computer?). Asks me what time we’re leaving (again - computer?) and then say he needs a half hour to check? Huh? No late check out. *TL;DR* This hotel all in all needs to be avoided - It’s ok. Some blocks are run down, although, it does look as though they are working on some renovations maybe - Fresh paint, new furniture and mattresses. Some blocks are mid-range and the adult section (some parts) look pretty shiny. There is too wide a range of room quality here. Management is snaky, sneaky and will flat out lie to you. Food is mediocre at best and the alcohol is EXTREMELY watered down (stick to beer if you’re looking for a buzz). Get a ground floor swim up room in block 16 or 17 and you’ll be set to live off chicken nuggets at the Burger Bar.

Amazing trip

Recently stayed here for 7 days we had the best time. Your entertainment staff was the best than any other resort that I have stayed at. Especially Eddie he made our stay there and we would come back just for the staff. The only downsides to the resort are the people selling excursions are everywhere on the resort constant haggling to buy the excursions. Our room was sub par and could use an upgrade we stayed in block 10. We also found the resort to small for VIP as we were constantly being turned away in places since we were not VIP. I would return to this resort for the entertainment alone
