All Inclusive

A spectacular resort, set on a dazzling beach, the all-inclusive Barcelˇ Punta Cana boasts 798 rooms with red Spanish-styled rooftops. The lobby, in warm tangerine hues, invites you to linger, with comfy seating under a chandelier, which amusingly also happens to house a birds nest! Sprawled parallel with the beach, this spacious hotel curves around gardens and features two large pools that are perfect for a refreshing dip.

Boredom is not an option at this adventurer's paradise! Fly through the air on a trapeze at the circus school, or test your strength and endurance on the rock-climbing wall. Then, gaze down at the spectacular ocean-view from the top. Children's programs are also available and include a playground, game room, pool, and more.

Entice your palate at one of seven specialty restaurants and after supper, don't forget to try your luck at the casino or take in one of the dynamic live shows in the forum-style theater. Before topping the evening off at the nightclub, stop by one of the late night bars for a nightcap. Finally, head off to your luxurious room to rest up for the next day's adventure.

Once youve had a good night's rest, why not start your day off in the gorgeous, fully-equipped spa? Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, pampering yourself in the beauty salon, or melting away stress in one of many massage rooms.

Awesome StayčśÄAmazing Animation TeamčśÄ

I've stayed here off and on for the whole month of August. This place is very nice. The rooms are awesome and very clean and spacious. For starters when you arrive the luggage is picked up and put to the side. While you check in you are given a glass of refreshing fruit juice. Check in is quite smooth. Once you are all checked in and in your room you can enjoy the food, they have a variety of a la carter restaurants and an excellent buffet. Once you are full a And happy you can go to the pool and enjoy the animation team with all the activities they offer. Rigoberto and Julio Iglesias are awesome, they keep you on your toes and are very friendly. Overall, this is one of the really nice Barcelo hotels. More>

Enjoyable Family Vacation

Stayed for 7 nights mid August. Really enjoyed our time there, lots of food choices, we were able to book al la carte for 4 of those evenings. Our favourites were the Seafood & Japanese (very entertaining). Pizzeria also very nice but limited menu. Large resort, felt overwhelmed at first but soon found our way around. Pools are great, we preferred the 2nd largest as this was quieter. The largest just seemed to host an all day pool party. Great if that's your thing but as a family maybe not. Kids water park fabulous along with trampoline & trapeze. You will not get bored here, nightly entertainment shows pretty good. Only negatives for us were the extremely long check-in time (no a/c in the lobby area). No info given at the desk or in room about activities etc so just find out for yourself. Maid service a little late some days (6pm) but generally staff are friendly. Please remember a Hola, Por Favour & Gracias go a long way, these guys sometimes work for 12 days before they get a day off. I really don't understand why guests are so rude to the staff at times!! Special mention must be given to our favourite barman Michael Nunez at the Mirador pool bar, he was very friendly & always had a cheerful attitude. Rooms a little dated so I'd surmise by saying 3* rooms 4* hotel facilities. Would return again for sure. More>

Birthday Vacation

I must say that when I read the reviews about this hotel I was a little nervous. I went for my birthday with some friends and we had a great time. There was a few issues but that was expected. Our refrigerator in our room did not work, the bathroom door would not close and lock, there was no wash cloths in the room, and our phone did not work to call the front desk. We did report these issues to Guest Services early that afternoon, around 9pm we went back to our room and nothing was fixed. We walked back to the front desk to report it again. Went back to our room around 11pm and everything was fixed except the phone. We reported the phone two more times and nothing. The whole entire stay, we had no working room phone. It's a good thing we had cell phones. The front desk does not have good communication skills with other departments at the resort. And they do not follow up to see if your issues were resolved. The entertainment was great, I loved the Michael Jackson Show it is a must see. There was a saxophone player nightly, which was also great. The casino we went inside once and did not go back, not worth it. The club, we went once and did not go back as there were teenagers in there with adults, for me that was a no no. Not sure what they consider club age but I would at least have expected 18. The food was good, no one got sick (which is what I had read in other reviews). We visited the Dominican, French, Japanese, and the Meat and Fish resturants. We ate at the Japanese resturant twice. The bartenders at the swim up bar were great. They kept the drinks coming. All in all for the price, I knew it was not going to be perfect. I would visit them again. Some of the employees gave outstanding service which made up for the front desk not having our issues resolved when first reported. We did not sweat the small stuff and had a great time. I would visit this hotel again. More>

Not as expected

People always talk of the service of Punta Cana, but in my experience last week was no so good. In the day to arrival, the bath was stuck. If you want to dinner in one of the restaurants, you need to reserve at 7:00am every day! If the restaurants are full the only choice you have is the buffet and the food is flavorless and have flys around it. We visit the Conuco Restaurant, they have "Dominican Food" but they don't have "Mang├║" in the menu. When I asked to the waiter for the Mang├║, she tells me that the only they have is Mofongo. Mofongo my friends is Puertorican food, not Dominican (I'm from Puerto Rico and I know what a Mofongo is...) All the drinks taste the same. You order an Daiquiri and next a Margarita and almost you don't taste any difference. The bartenders and waiters in all the restaurants and buffet will cater reluctantly. They aren't happy and theirs faces reflects their anguish. The only one you look happy and enjoying his work was Mr. Chocolate, one of the entertainment team. I hear people that every year travel to Punta Cana, for me with one was enough. More>
