All Inclusive

A spectacular resort, set on a dazzling beach, the all-inclusive Barceló Punta Cana boasts 798 rooms with red Spanish-styled rooftops. The lobby, in warm tangerine hues, invites you to linger, with comfy seating under a chandelier, which amusingly also happens to house a birds nest! Sprawled parallel with the beach, this spacious hotel curves around gardens and features two large pools that are perfect for a refreshing dip.

Boredom is not an option at this adventurer's paradise! Fly through the air on a trapeze at the circus school, or test your strength and endurance on the rock-climbing wall. Then, gaze down at the spectacular ocean-view from the top. Children's programs are also available and include a playground, game room, pool, and more.

Entice your palate at one of seven specialty restaurants and after supper, don't forget to try your luck at the casino or take in one of the dynamic live shows in the forum-style theater. Before topping the evening off at the nightclub, stop by one of the late night bars for a nightcap. Finally, head off to your luxurious room to rest up for the next day's adventure.

Once youve had a good night's rest, why not start your day off in the gorgeous, fully-equipped spa? Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, pampering yourself in the beauty salon, or melting away stress in one of many massage rooms.

-1 STAR DUMP RESORT ! $6500 WASTED ! PLEASE READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS FROM LAST 90 DAYS !

THIS RESORT IS A DUMP ! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN ! NEEDS NEW MANAGEMENT ASAP ! Our family vacation was a nightmare. It was like something from National Lampoons Vacation !!!!! Got to resort last Saturday at 2ish from airport, took over an hour to get room. NO one speaks or acknowledges English at all ! Staff at check in extremely rude and they don't answer any questions you have. Got up to our "Oceanfront Room" room to find door partially open, realizing that door catch in door jamb had been ripped off by prior guest who forced it open. Called maintenance and waited an hour and a half for a guy to put two screws in it shrug his shoulders put his hand out for a tip and then walk away. Door still was NOT secure enough to leave room. Door wouldn't lock. In mean time discovered refrigerator wasn't cold, tv turned on but no picture, ac wasn't blowing air. I went back to front desk and waited in line again and when I told Carlos at the counter he shrugged his shoulders and said nothing he could do. I demanded another room and after badgering him he agreed. The next room was dirty, warm ac view of palm tree. NO dice. I went back to him he gave me another room key went to see this room and walked in to find other people in this room. Stormed back down stairs and told him he laughed. Sent me to another room with bellhop, opened door to strong fresh paint smell, room dirty, coffee filters jammed into ac vents to cover paint smell ! Open curtain no water view. NO dice. I saw another room with no view and water leaking from ceiling declined room and Carlos said both he could do. I was speechless ! He actually told someone else on phone he was dealing with LOCO customer. I said u just call me crazy ?? No response. Guy behind us was complaining he didn't have working toilet for two days ! In the mean time my wife calling front desk from room to get a manager they shut off our phone so they didn't have to answer it. Finally got a room no ocean view , at least ac worked. No water pressure in any room for decent shower. This place is a waste of effort, time and money. Honestly please read every review before wasting your money !!! Every employee puts their hands out for tips even security. Food is hardly edible. Looks like dog food from can. No selection of any specific food. I ate pizza all week. They are not USA friendly. Talked to at least 6 other people who had similar problems. Took dress clothes for dinners to adhere to dress code and sat next to a guy in cut off jean shorts and a tank top with no deodorant in an Italian restaurant. They don't enforce the dress code anyway ! Can't find anyone to help you or answer any questions at all. Later found out that multiple rooms has broken doors from theft. Another gentleman behind me in line was in his room with his three children with no toilet for three days. Had to use hallway restroom. Plastic cups from out door bars floating in pool. Beach dirty with seaweed and tree branches. Can't even believe that management could be proud of such a resort. No washcloths at all in room just bath towels that are stained and don't look clean. Mold in shower stall. Window in our room leaked when it rained and we had an inch of water on tile floor. Security, maintenance and house keeping like hanging out in hallways with no cameras and speaking loudly all night long. House keeping hadn't visited our room all week we slept on same sheets for a week. I couldn't believe how many other people were having similar issues. This is a disgrace that they get our money and we get this in return. I will never ever return to this resort or island. I will be returning to Jamaica where I am welcomed open arms and appreciated as an American. They can't do enough for us when we are there. Do your homework please before you book here !!! I am pleading with you. Spend an extra few dollars and go somewhere else ! The director of this resort should be replaced or step down from his position. I wouldn't stay there again if they gave me the presidential suite free for a month.

Check in took FOREVER. The staff wasn't accommodating and I concur with a review I read with respect to the staff seeming bothered by you needing something from them or interrupting their personal conversations. The elevator worked 2 days of our stay & the one time we were forced to take the stairs there were human feces & vomit in the stairwell from the night before. If you want a beach towel be prepared to wait in line at crack of dawn or they will be out. Otherwise pools were good & the swim up bar bartenders as well as the pool bar bartenders by mexican restaraunt were awesome. Rooms were ok aside from the bathroom where the patch jobs were done by a 3yr old the ceiling leaked you are only allowed 2 towels per person & unclear as to why wash clothes are not available. Since you are unable to drink the water I am unclear why you're only allowed 2 bottles per person esp since you have to practically beg for water or refills while in the dining cafeteria. The food in the cafeteria was well stocked & replenished however the wait staff doesn't know how to focus on the entire room. Water & coffee should be as available as the soda & juice are. The restaraunts that you need reservations for are out of food by the 9pm reservation that staff isn't accommodating either. The only staff accomodating in the restaurants we visited were the young gentlemen clearing the tables. They were more worried about you than the actual waiters. I was very disappointed in the resort & the only upside to our stay was that we were on a ton of day trips so the extra $ we spent on the trips that we would have spent on a better resort made up for it.

We booked this place after reading its reviews. We spent our first Punta Cana vacation at the Occidental Caribe former Barcelo Punta Cana for four nights and five days. We were worried that at the price we paid we were not gonna have a real 5 star hotel. Boy were we shocked. This hotel is way more than we bargained for. All the employees were very fun and polite. The Kyoto Japanese restaurant was our favorite. The theatre was very well coordinated and the shows were lots of fun. Bartenders Maroa Ramirez and Juan were the best. We also met Samuel Tavarez and Rigoberto by the pool. Part of the Life team they made us enjoy every second of our stay. Joshua from the metamorphis spa was also amazing. Truly recommend this place. Any little negative moment is blurred by the employees amazing treatment. Will be back again.
