All Inclusive

A spectacular resort, set on a dazzling beach, the all-inclusive Barceló Punta Cana boasts 798 rooms with red Spanish-styled rooftops. The lobby, in warm tangerine hues, invites you to linger, with comfy seating under a chandelier, which amusingly also happens to house a birds nest! Sprawled parallel with the beach, this spacious hotel curves around gardens and features two large pools that are perfect for a refreshing dip.

Boredom is not an option at this adventurer's paradise! Fly through the air on a trapeze at the circus school, or test your strength and endurance on the rock-climbing wall. Then, gaze down at the spectacular ocean-view from the top. Children's programs are also available and include a playground, game room, pool, and more.

Entice your palate at one of seven specialty restaurants and after supper, don't forget to try your luck at the casino or take in one of the dynamic live shows in the forum-style theater. Before topping the evening off at the nightclub, stop by one of the late night bars for a nightcap. Finally, head off to your luxurious room to rest up for the next day's adventure.

Once youve had a good night's rest, why not start your day off in the gorgeous, fully-equipped spa? Enjoy relaxing in the hot tub, pampering yourself in the beauty salon, or melting away stress in one of many massage rooms.

Great Service

One of the most rewarding aspects of my stay at Occidental Caribe was the service from staff! The staff member, that myself and my family found to be outstanding, due to her costumer service, our whole stay was a bar tender named Maria Rarmiz (sp?)!

room was great, food was excellent, hotel takes care of small things that makes a big difference - letting families with kids jump long check in line, buffet had low counters for kids to pick their own meal. beautiful architecture. Theatre was huge but entertainment was abysmal.

Nothing special

We've been in 5 resorts in Punta Cana so we can say that Occidental Caribe is not the best. Even with this price you can find something more better. Rooms are not so new, we heard ALL the noises from everywhere around. Food was Ok but the same very day. The waiters are disaster, I haven't saw none of them during the meal. The best thing there is the beach. But it's just a nature of DR. Will not return back.

FAIR AND HONEST REVIEW OF OCCIDENTAL CARIBE (GOOD AND BAD)

I've been to this hotel with my family around new years 2017. To be fair i'm going to list the GOOD and BAD things about this hotel. GOOD: - The hotel is huge. -The hotel has a casino. - A lot of restaurants and many different food variety. -The hotel has more than 1 pool, and the mail pool is very gorgeous. -A lot of bars throughout the hotel including pool beach casino etc.. -The hotel has a nightclub -Tennis courts, basketball courts, ping pong, pool etc... - A lot of fun activities ( beach soccer, beach volley ball ...) - BEACH is gorgeous . -Rooms were good -has kids club so good for kids -Hotel also has a gym that has pretty much everything. BAD: - to be honest the a la carte restaurants were not the best, the food is not very good except for the italian restaurant which is in my opinion the best one. BUT YOU GO TO PUNTA CANA FOR THE BEACH NOT FOR THE FOOD, SO DON'T EXPECT TOO MUCH. -CASINO SCAM The casino offers 5$(free) so if you pay 5$ they give you 10$ but if you win you only win 5$ and if you lose you lose everything. SO IT IS A SCAM. To be honest these are the only bad things that i can think of this hotel and I do recommended to families or couples. A lot of fun and definitely worth it. I hope i helped you guys take a decision.

Amazing Family Vacation (with Young Kids) - August 2016

First, this resort used to be called "Barcelo Premium Punta Cana." OVERALL EXPERIENCE: We had an AMAZING time! We travelled as a family of 4: me, my husband and two sons ages 3 and 5. This resort gears to both families AND singles. Lots of activities for kids, families, couples, and everyone else. My husband and I originally visited this hotel on our honeymoon 9 years ago - we loved it so much we've come back 6 times. 1 honeymoon, 2 vacations pre-kids, 1 babymoon, and 2 family vacations with young children. Each time, the hotel has offered something for our changing needs and interests. SERVICE: AMAZING!! The workers and the customer service are what keep us coming back to this resort. Everyone is very attentive and wants to make sure that you have a good time. Having 2 young kids who are picky eaters, we were worried that we wouldn't be accommodated when making kid-related requests. For example, one kid only eats pancakes and bananas at breakfast. Well, bananas aren't always available at the buffet. The waiters were more than willing to hunt down a banana every morning so that our son could have his breakfast. Parents - you understand how much this means to us. Another kid only eats ham & cheese sandwiches at lunch, and we showed up at closing time at the lunch buffet when the ham and cheese station had already shut down. Another waiter went back to the kitchen and found us some ham and cheese so that our son could have lunch. This type of attention meant the world to us, and the waiters were always genuinely happy to help us. They were not looking for tips (they share tips, can't keep them for themselves) - they just wanted us to have a good vacation. At this point, I need to give a special thank you to the lovely waitresses (and waiters) who looked out for us: Jeni (from the buffet and Italian/Dominican restaurants), Clarissa from the Mexican restaurant (for lunch and dinner), and Marta from the buffet. Jose from the pizza restaurant was awesome too. Our kids LOVED you, and you made our vacation so memorable. THANK YOU! We also need to thank Jennifer Castillo, the front desk manager, who, from the very beggining, made sure our room was perfectly accommodated for our two children and continuously checked up on us whenever she'd bump into us in the lobby. She has an excellent customer service attitude and was truly interested in making sure that we enjoyed our stay and relaxed during our vacation. She was the first person to greet us when we arrived, and our vacation was so beautiful thanks to her and her kindness. Again, she realized that the comfort of our young children was most important to us, and she made sure their needs were met. Thank you so much Jennifer! CLEANLINESS: This hotel is very clean and well-kept. I am a germophobe and cleanliness is very important to me. I have never had issues with the cleanliness anywhere - the rooms, the restaurants, the buffet, the pools, the beach, the bars - everything is clean and well-kept. No complaints whatsoever. Even the bathrooms in the main lobbies are always clean, even in the evenings and nighttime when people are hanging out. ROOMS: We've stayed in both sides of the resort - the older rooms by the main pool (with the swim-up bar) and the deluxe rooms by the quiet pool. We've had great experiences with both rooms. Everything works, no plumbing issues, great water pressure, no nasty mildey/moldy smell (an issue I've had at other resorts), clean towels, comfortable beds, etc. No complaints. BEACH: Stunning! Beautiful, clear-blue water. No seaweed at all. Well maintained. Fluffy, white sand. Not rocky. Perfect for kids and adults. (Parent note: the waves were a little too much for our boys, ages 3 and 5. Once we figured out the time of day when the waves were not so strong, we were fine.) KIDS CLUB: Our boys, ages 3 and 5, LOVED the kids club. It's Air-conditioned and has lots of toys, arts & crafts, etc. The staff even takes them to the trampoline. They'd beg us to go to the kids club several times a day! The staff is very friendly and responsible, and we felt very safe and secure leaving the kids there without us. We didn't think we'd need to use it, but the kids loved it and my husband and I enjoyed time to ourselves. LOGISTICS: It's a medium sized hotel - not too big where you have to take a shuttle or walk for a long time to get to the different pools/restaurants/beach. But also big enough to include 2 LARGE pools, one kiddie pool with 4 fun slides (for kids ranging from age 1 - 12), 1 main buffet and 5 a la carte restaurants. The beach is large, clean and GORGEOUS! It has two large pools: the main pool is by the buffet and where the animation team spends the day. Lots of music and fun with the animation team - this is definitely the livelier side of the hotel (includes a swim-up bar) and where the singles/couples with no kids spend their time. Lots of good, clean fun. Rowdy in a good way. The second pool, on the other side of the hotel (but still walking distance from everything) is also HUGE but much quieter. There is a bar next to the pool (no swim-up bar), making it less rowdy. It's also close to the kiddie pool, so my family would spend most of our time in this big pool as we could easily walk between this large pool, the kiddie pool, the beach, the kids club, the other activities (rock climbing, trampoline).
