Great stay at Avila

Great all around. The room key card magnetism is a problem. It would be good to tell guests well in advance about the big Saturday barbecue. See we arrived Saturday around 6:30, we had already eaten too much to enjoy the barbecue. Great staff and service. Wonderful enclosed beaches protected from direct ocean. Excellent property, grounds, food.

Wonderful, boutique hotel.

Had a lovely stay. Friendly staff, awesome gym, superb snorkelling right in front of the lagoon. Close to great restaurants as well. Do rent a car a few days and see all that the island has to offer. Fishalicious, Mosa are great. There is a small convenience type store a few blocks away to get snacks for your room. Karakter in Coral Estate for snorkelling is great as well as the use of their beach and pool. Super cocktails and apps there as well. BijBlauw has a great sunset view, apps and cocktails as well. Very quaint and a quick walk from Avila. You cannot go wrong staying here! Enjoy~

Avila beach hotel has a great location in a very close proximity to all the attractions of Willemstad. Staff at the hotel needs some additional training. Customer service is poor. Management needs to be involved if you need to resolve a problem. Reception is not very welcoming could use some smile . Management arrived by Tuesday and service improved a little bit. At the restaurant staff stands around instead of helping guests. Poor training in my opinion. Rooms are strangely designed in some buildings , where shower overflows with water and it takes time for it to drain. Octagon building is new and rooms are much better there. Request higher floors to have balcony will be much nicer view. Grounds are beautiful . Beach could use some more sand . Best food at the hotel as at the Pool Bar. Swimming is at the lagoons and a nice pool . Hotel is a little stingy on beach towels however if you can grab some in early morning you will have enough. Overall very enjoyable experience.

Amazing stay

We really had an amazing time at Avila. Despite some problems to book our New Years Dinner at The Blues, in the end everything was perfect! We were in a party of 10 and all my friends are satisfied with the Hotel, Assistance, Structure, food and mood. Thanks for everything and hope to see you soon!

Lovely small to mid size hotel - walking distance to great restaurants

Hotel offers protected bays ideal for swimming . The water can be quite robust at times if your not in the protected area. Clean, modern rooms. Loved that the flooring is strictly tiled. Our room did not have a bathtub. Ask the front desk if this is a must have. We opted for the buffet breakfast. It’s ok I have had better . That being said it offers all the basics. Custom omelets are an option . The area you eat breakfast is charming looking at the ocean just a few meters away. Two nights they offer live entertainment which was excellent . The beach area at night is nicely lite providing a romantic carribean atmosphere. Staff is attentive and friendly . You are within walking distance to several great restaurants . My only complaint is the noise . You can hear people talking in the hallways as well as doors opening and closing . Since everything else was great, we will definitely be back .
