It was fun!

Atlantis is just one of those places, you need to go, try it and you'll love it or not. First of all, Paradise Island has beautiful beaches, so enjoy the views! and Atlantis is huge plan to walk 2-3 miles a day minimum!! The resort is becoming "dated" being that is probably 20 years old? But that being said, it is kept exceptionally clean and hospitality was great, the employees love having you there and are very attentive. We went during off season and alot of things were closed for maintenance or repairs, which was a little disappointing. Comedy club, swim up pool, a few restaurants, etc, were all closed. And restaurants rotating being open due to low reservations in the resort. My biggest reason for a 3, was prices. Everything is outrageous and I'm from Orlando, Disneyworld capital? 15 % gratuity added to everything, everywhere, even if you pay cash. That coupled with higher prices means your spending alot of money on F&B while you're there, but it's vacation, enjoy! Would I go back, yes to Paradise Island, not sure about Atlantis. I did have fun, but after summing up our long weekend, I realized I could have went to an all-inclusive and been stress free :)

room was nice, as was the housekeeper and her service. THATS IT everything else poor. room with view of building site next door and drilling till 10pm at night!!! so loud!! no chance of chilling in the evening on your balcony!! beach tower getting a lick of paint so again a view of many painters on balconies and lots of paint materials all over. No restaurants open in beach tower or food outlets around the beach tower pools. no where to get food or drink apart from a small shop. lazy river closed. huge swimming pool under construction and other rides and areas closed. management dont care and a lot of rude staff wowww they should not be in the hospitality industry. if i knew of the building and maintenance going on in the beach tower then i would have booked royal towers. so annoyed that atlantis cannot inform their guests of all the closures and stuff going on etc etc. i understand its low season and maintenance has to be done some time!! but please just inform your guests so they can make alternative arrangements..paid a lot of money for a pretty bad experience.

Stayed here before in 2014 and again this past August. Our room again was clean and spacious. No issues with room charges that weren't ours. Love the water park, we were there during low season so the line ups weren't big. Beach was beautiful as always. Crystal clear. Calm. Again dining was not a problem for us. A 3min walk and you have Dunkin Donuts and a grocery store right at your finger tips as well as a liquor store. $2 a beer for Corona can't complain thats even cheaper than here at home. You get a mini fridge with your room so take the walk and stock up. You can bring it with you where ever you are on the resort. We bought our pop for the kids at the grocery store for the week and every morning had Dunkin Donuts. Lunch by the waterpark was reasonable and you get refillable pop all day they also have water refill stations all over. Dinners weren't bad either. We also walked one night to Margaritaville which is very reasonable and great prices and large portions. We also really love the movie theater. You can do Atlantis very reasonably and on a budget don't listen to anyone who tells you different. If we can do it anyone can do it. We have done it twice and would do it again. And both times spent less than what everyone spends to go to all-inclusive vacations or cruises for a week for a family of 4. Does the Beach Tower need improvements - yes. But you are only there to sleep. As long as the room is clean who cares. I can look past paint chips and carpet rips. I recommend this place.

Paying High Price when Everything is closed

So looking forward to coming to this Hotel, and this was a huge treat for me and my family.. I would not recommend beach towers as the whole place has referb going on, it's noisy dusty and nothing is open over there, not even Starbucks to get a coffee! Firstly we booked a standard room and when we arrived we were told we had been upgraded to ocean view (wahoo or so I thought) yes your facing the ocean but also a huge construction site, to which they start working at 7am right through till 9pm at night. Not very relaxing. The reception offered to move us back to our original room but we had already unpacked and really just wanted to make the most of the couple of days we had here and not pack up again. I don't understand why they 'upgraded' us to a worse room? Positive.. the water park is great and plenty to keep you occupied, however we stayed here for 3 days and one ride (the big rubber ring one) wasn't open at all during our stay which we were disappointed about. The dolphin cove is great and such a good experience! We were told 20 restaurants were closed due to low season, which meant we had to walk miles to get dinner/lunch from our room. Facilities we were looking forward to using were also closed such as the comedy club, shops were closed too. But your charging the same price when only 20% of facilities are open?? When trying to speak to a manager about this we were ignored and told by the receptionist they would bring this up in a meeting! I work in the hotel industry and this is not the way to deal with a complaint, your supposed to 'make it right'! Also you cannot check in here due to referb so we had to check in at coral (the hotel next door) which was fine as they have bell boys to help with luggage, but they must have all been asleep at 5am when we left as no answer at concierge to help with luggage to we had to walk all the way through the 2 hotels to get to our taxi. Combining all these issues together it pretty much ruined our holiday and the front office staff did not care or try to make it better for us. Very disappointed in Atlantis as it's such a big resort. Check what is open before your arrive and don't set your heart on anything cause it might not even be there/open. Mary the maid from beach towers/coral was lovely and a joy to talk to!

Most amazing experience!

I cannot begin to describe my experience. Kool Aid is the coolest dude, but apart from that.... The happy rescued animals, the treatments that they receive and the engagement with them is unreal. I can't begin to describe the time that I had there. Go! And ask for Kool Aid - everyone knows him because he is the Kool-est of the Aid.
