Single Parent Saves With Children.*

The traditional family unit has many variations these days, and nearly one in ten households is headed by a single parent. Resorts are recognizing this and are reaching out to single parents by offering special rates based on one adult in the room. Some resorts are even taking this trend to a new level by designating special activities, such as welcome cocktail parties, specifically for single parents.
 
   
 
Lap Child.**
On the airplane, if a separate seat was not purchased, a child under two years of age must sit on an adult's lap and does not receive a separate baggage allowance.
Passports Required.
Remember that ALL travelers returning to the U.S. by air from an international destination, regardless of age, require a passport. This means infants too.
